The OtterBox Defender Series Case for iPad 10th Gen is exactly what you'd expect from OtterBox: rugged, reliable, and ready to take a beating. It wraps your iPad in a fortress of protection, with reinforced corners, a built-in screen shield, and a sturdy kickstand that actually holds up under pressure. But let’s talk about the elephant in the room—or rather, the elephant on the iPad. This case is bulky. It adds noticeable heft and size, which makes it less ideal for tossing in a small bag or holding for long periods. It’s the trade-off for top-tier protection, and while I’m happy to make it, it’s worth noting. If you prioritize durability over sleekness, this case is a winner. Just be prepared to give your forearms a little workout.

This piece of VERY EXPENSIVE plastic came with a plastic screen cover that feels like the sticky side of scotch tape. The “stand” opens but does not close. It just snapped off. To make my iPad usable again, I purchased another expensive otter product. A glass cover. Both the frame and glass were stated to be compatible with my iPad. The glass would not install without removing the cheap plastic cover from the very expensive frame. They simply don’t fit. The glasses is smooth, but that’s all. I now have a terrible looking iPad with a broken frame. I would look for it better product at a lower price. This is not it in my opinion.

I love otter box products, they’ve always kept my devices safe from getting broken even with as clumsy as I am and how often I drop them. Having said that, I don’t love the built in plastic screen protector and on day 2 of using it on my IPad, it’s warping where I color on the screen using my Apple Pencil. My old iphone case (also an Otterbox with a built in plastic screen protector) would do this in the places I most frequently would wipe my screen or click and drag things. It’s not horrific or like disfiguring anything on my screen, but it’s a little annoying.

It does work on a 11gen ipad. Works great, fits great. I use my ipad to log trail maps in my side by side and it keeps my ipad protected against dust, dirt, and mud!
