I protect all my personal cell phones with shields. I used a different shield on my previous J3, and had bubbles that were along the sides. I suggest you DO use and review the videos that are under this product. I followed the instructions of the written material (which might be a bit confusing), and the videos which CLEARED up some of the written instructions. With the little felt smoother that you rub out bubbles (once the cell screen is wiped with the alcohol wipe then the sticky paper to remove floating lint in the air), I think I was expecting all the bubbles to be removed before completing the full step. DO NOT OVERTHINK/OVER WORRY bubbles. If you follow the instructions, you won't have bubbles (or many) and you'll keep working the felt smoother for no reason. Get the shield on the phone, the phone out of the installation tray, THEN worry about getting the last bubbles out. Once I'd completed the process...read: gave up with the tray the phone sets in, it worked. The tray is more of a nuisance (and thinner, lighter than the videos), but once the phone was out of the tray...the screen protector fitted like a glove and not visible to the naked eye. AND, there weren't really any major bubbles, but a tiny few along the side. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can. Again, don't overthink the process while the phone is in the stupid tray. Follow the steps, and work bubbles, if needed, once the phone is on a flat surface. The shield responds amazingly well compared to my old phone's shield. I don't have finger print reader turned on yet, but highly doubt you'd have a problem with the shield. It's very responsive to the lightest finger touches. You'll do better with a no name cheap screen protector. I wanted to like this, I used to trust this company. The install kit was bad, seriously the Wal-Mart branded screen protector on my previous phone had a better install mechanism. The protector was installed slightly off center by the included kit, frustrating. The actual screen protector was also very disappointing. I thought this would be a better quality product from a company I trust. Screen protector had bubbles and they wouldn't just work out at the edge like a normal screen protector. The edges on the right were quickly pulling up slightly & just made it uncomfortable to use. Returned product. I think less of OtterBox as a company for selling this poor quality product. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The production itself is great. And will work perfectly with the OtterBox case. You can't even tell tell there's a screen protector in your phone. But be extra careful during the installation. The installation tray has a rubber band (see video) to adjust its size. Unfortunately, it doesn't snap into place and one slip and there goes the cellphone during the installation. ... show more

The first one I received came in an open box that someone attempted to install and returned to Amazon. I contacted Amazon, had to take the junk one to the UPS Store. Amazon shipped a replacement at no charge. The new one installed very easily with no bubbles or lint. It fits perfectly with my case. Touch sensitivity is unaffected. I'm pretty happy with this screen protector so far. The installation tray worked very well, with one inherent quirk that I can hopefully explain. The phone sits in the tray to align it, then you do your cleaning and remove the backing from the screen protector before flipping it over the phone and hooking a tab to the top of the tray. This places the protector precisely above the phone screen to check alignment without actually applying it. Then you use the included squeegee to press the protector down onto the screen from the center to the top/bottom. Since it is suspended just above the screen at the top and bottom, the ends will not quite meet the screen until the application sheet (the "backing" on the front) is removed. After removing that, the ends can be applied with the squeegee working from the center outward. It really worked quite well for me, and my screen protector went on with zero bubbles. Literally zero. I still gave it a good working over with the squeegee and the protector seems to have adhered very nicely. I did end up with just one tiny dust speck that I will now be staring at forever. That's on me of course - being perfect is hard! The protector has a nice slick feel. After using my phone for a week or two unprotected, the touch sensitivity seems only slightly affected, if at all. My screen stays much cleaner with this on, as dust and fingerprints simply don't stick to it. It leaves a very thin border around the edge of the screen to allow for snap on cases, and it seems to have no issues with a few different ones I've been trying out. Overall, I'm very pleased with this screen protector and would recommend it. I'm only dropping one star because of the slightly awkward situation the alignment tray puts you in, with both ends "floating" above the screen. You can stick them down, but the plastic layer attached to the tray will peel them right back up until it is removed. It's part of the alignment tray design and kind of unavoidable, and I really thought the tray worked great, I just would have appreciated knowing this detail before it was happening in front of me. No harm comes of it though, you'll figure it out. It's a minor complaint, 4.5 stars. ... show more

I've had hit or miss experiences with screen protection. This is by far the best I've had! Install was basically foolproof and your finger glides like ice. My favorite part tho - very minimal smudging and fingerprints.
