Description

Book three in the 1 New York Times bestselling Into Darkness Series, following the dark rom-com sensations Lights Out and Caught Up. The game is on for these enemies-to-lovers with laugh-out-loud banter and scorching-hot brat play. I hate that woman. Tyler Neumann has spent years looking for his father, and not because he wants to meet the man. No, he wants to destroy him. And he’ll manipulate whoever he can to exact his revenge. Including Stella McCormick. She’s everything Tyler hates. Her wealth and privilege have protected her for her entire life, and Tyler thinks it's time she finally paid the price. Whether she’s ready to or not. I hate that man. Stella might not believe in love at first sight, but loathing at first sight—no question. From the moment she sets eyes on Tyler in her tattoo parlor, she knows he’s the devil planning to make her life hell. Forced to play the part of his girlfriend and invite him into her family’s glittering circles, Stella quickly clocks Tyler’s ulterior motives. But love and hate are two sides of the same coin, and soon she doesn’t know which is worse: being blackmailed by a man who wants to ruin her, or that they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. This is an enemies-to-lovers dark romance with morally grey characters. Some themes and scenes may be disturbing to readers. Please check the content warning at the beginning of the book. Tropes: Enemies-to-lovers / Forced proximity / Fake dating / Rom-com / Morally grey MMC / Black cat FMC / Blackmail / Kidnapping / Power imbalance / Age gap / Betrayal and redemption / Dark past / Revenge Read more

Game On by Navessa Allen 5⭐️ | 5🌶️ | 5🎧 Holy. Crap. I’m sitting here staring at the wall like I just got dropped back into reality after living inside this trilogy, completely wrecked in the best way. I’m equal parts delighted and devastated that it’s over, which honestly feels like the highest compliment I can give. This book is the perfect collision of Lights Out and Caught Up—dark, heavy, and emotionally loaded, but also sharp, hilarious, and wildly addictive. It balances tension and humor so effortlessly that I was either gripping my chest or laughing out loud, sometimes in the same chapter. I already loved Tyler from the previous books, but I was not prepared for this version of him. He is the perfect storm of grumpy, funny, and unapologetically sexy, and his character growth? Absolute peak. Watching him evolve throughout this story was one of the most satisfying arcs in the entire trilogy. And then there’s Stella—chaotic, hilarious, and completely magnetic. She didn’t just match Tyler’s energy, she challenged it, and the dynamic between them was electric from start to finish. The plot? I was locked in. Every twist, every reveal had me flipping pages like my life depended on it. I loved that nothing was handed to us—we had to work for the answers, and it made every payoff hit that much harder. And AJ? Such a welcome surprise. Truly the cherry on top of an already incredible story. Also, Amos deserves his own moment because he was the cutest little scene-stealer and I would protect him at all costs 🥹 And the audiobook? Flawless. Absolutely flawless. James Cassidy and Tara Langella delivered a performance that didn’t just elevate the story—it immersed me in it. The emotion, the pacing, the character distinction… it felt like I was listening to a full cast. I have officially added both of them to my automatic listen list. This book wasn’t just a finale—it was an experience. One that left me completely satisfied, a little heartbroken, and already wishing I could read it again for the first time. If you’ve made it this far in the trilogy, you already know… but just in case: read it, listen to it, and do yourself a favor—make it an immersive read. ... show more

  • Please where is book 4???
Format: Paperback
I couldn’t put down Game On by Navessa Allen—this book is intense, addictive, and definitely not your typical romance! If you love a true enemies-to-lovers story, this one delivers. The tension between Tyler and Stella is constant, messy, and honestly so entertaining. Their dynamic goes from hate to something much deeper, and the chemistry is off the charts. The plot has a darker edge with themes like revenge, blackmail, and power struggles, which really keeps things interesting. It’s not just romance—there’s actual depth, backstory, and emotional layers behind both characters. Game On is part of the Into Darkness series and leans into morally gray characters and high-stakes drama. I also loved the mix of humor and spice—it balances out the darker elements really well. Just know going in that it is a dark romance, so definitely check content warnings if that’s something you’re sensitive to. Overall, this book is bold, dramatic, and super engaging. If you enjoy edgy romance with strong personalities and lots of tension, this one is absolutely worth the read! ... show more

  • Well Rounded Story
Format: Paperback
I never read the synopsis, but I was pleasantly surprised. This book was full of character development with a nice touch of reconciliation. The banter was fun and the tension was top notch. The spicy parts were natural and didn't feel forced into the story. I liked how the ending turned around. I am curious about how the MMC's relationship with the brothers turned out, but i think that was the only loose end. ... show more

  • A great read!
Format: Kindle
Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smut 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Nothing will ever top the first book for me, but I did enjoy this one quite a bit! The only negative part for me was at first it seemed like they were trying way too hard to establish the characters, but I understand why. The plot was fairly predictable but people who become criminals do worse things for far less, so its fairly realistic. I appreciate that the FMC has gastritis and talks about it! Having a similar issue, it was very relatable and not a lot of people talk about how much it can impact your life. I loved the characters and the smut was phenomenal, I wish there had been more. It made up for the second book with what felt like everything being a kink! Overall this book was fantastic! ... show more

  • Ok I’m biased. I also really wish I could leave 2.5 stars.
Format: Kindle
I hate Tyler. Hated him in book 1, continued in book 2, and still can’t let go of it. Which speaks to how well Navessa writes so definitely a testament to how phenomenal she is. However, I hold grudges and I can’t let this go. I can appreciate how she wrote him and the entire story line. Stella is a bit harder for me to really be invested in. I can appreciate the dichotomy of someone being both hard and soft characteristically, but sometimes the switch between the two was hard for me to get into. I love a strong female lead but sometimes I think I needed Stella to really lean into it or switch to a softer version of herself. It was like she didn’t fully commit to either role for me. Again I’m biased, maybe if I found Tyler even the slightest bit endearing I would’ve been able to appreciate the dynamics of the relationship more. Am I empathetic to his backstory? Yes. Do I feel empathy towards his character? Absolutely. But again, grudges. In another book there was a line about someone being nice when they wanted to be doesn’t mean they’re a nice or good person. I feel that way about Tyler. Yes, I can fully understand that trauma messes with you and can cause actions out of the norm for people. I applaud Navessa for how she captured that in how all characters were written. But a slightly understandable backstory for his actions doesn’t change how I view him. Even if it changes how he views himself and allows for self reflection. ... show more
