    • Good case, bad protectors, awkward kickstand. Buy it anyway.
Not entirely sure why Amazon wants me to include the word "sheerness" because it's not a real word according to any dictionary I can find, but let's ignore that and go together on a magical journey to the land of phone cases! I like this case. It feels rugged, it has a good grip, and it's hard to drop right up until your fingers slip on the smooth rubber and it goes tumbling out of your hand. They've included a handy ring/kickstand on the back to keep this from happening. It's... mostly useful. I don't know about y'all, but I work around 50 hours a week to pay off the credit card that pays the bills, supporting two people on one "salary" (read: hourly rate that might as well be a fart in a jar). I honestly can't afford to break this phone, I'm going to be paying for it over the next two years. I'm counting on this case to keep it intact until then. I think it will. The screen protectors are trash, they may as well have not included them and cut the price, but I don't think the case would have sold as well for the decent product it is. Granted, they're tempered glass which would in theory be great, but I bought two of this set and used all the protectors my first week because they kept breaking from the violent activity of being gently laid on a pillow. Seriously, I didn't do anything with this phone for the first few days I had it but use it in bed. The protectors also don't really fit that well, they're noticeably small. And they don't come with a protector for the camera glass on the back of the phone. I bought some protectors separately, they're bigger, they haven't cracked yet, they came with rear camera protectors, and my front camera has never given me trouble because there wasn't a cutout. Let's talk about kickstands: I have a 2008 Honda Silverwing that has tipped over in my yard more than twice because the kickstand wasn't supportive enough on uneven ground. The kickstand on this case will do the same thing, because it duals as a ring to hold the phone in your hand, it does neither job well. It's in an awkward position to hold the phone, and it's uncomfortably and unusually shaped to fit the whole rugged tech motif. I would have rather had it be a smooth circle and not function as a stand, because when you use it as a stand the phone's weight makes it move and the thing falls flat. It just doesn't have the traction to stay in position, and you have to use the cut out corner as a foot or it won't stand at all. It doesn't hold the phone in place vertically, and if you try to use the phone while the stand is holding it up, you will knock the phone over. If you're on a table, preferably with a cloth, and you set it up perfectly and don't breathe on it, the kickstand is great-ish. Never got to try it with a magnetic holder, but I promise you the metal patch on the back is not a magnet, it failed the fridge test. I wouldn't trust a magnet over something more secure, anyway. I'm getting old, folks. I carry my phone in a holster. I started using it as my wallet when I had the dual-screen Axon M and I just can't stop. This fits perfectly well even with the case. I may even upgrade to a fanny pack soon. I would buy this again. I would recommend it to anyone with a Pixel 4a. I would recommend the 4a to anyone, too. I would also recommend following up the purchases with different glass screen protectors. ... show more

I’m really impressed with this privacy screen protector set. The tempered glass feels super sturdy and smooth, and the privacy feature actually works—people next to me can’t see a thing, which is perfect for using my phone in public. Touch sensitivity and screen clarity are still great, so it doesn’t feel like a downgrade at all. Installation was easy (no rage, no bubbles, we love that), and I love that it comes as a 3-pack. This is the easiest screen protector that I have ever installed, and mind you, I've run through around 10 screen protectors as a clumsy teenager. I don't use the camera bump, but it felt very genuine and was a strong material. It's really amazing how hard it is to see the screen protector lip; I keep forgetting that I even have a screen protector on. There are no bubbles whatsoever.
