I love this matte privacy protector. It provides side protection, but not top and bottom. It is smooth to the touch, there is no glare and adheres to the screen well. It is not too difficult to align, however take care because there is only one screen in the box. The price is right, but I would recommend the manufacturer include two units instead of one.

If the screen looks too dim, check Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Reduce White Point and make sure it’s OFF. Mine was set to 80%, which made the screen significantly dimmer and made the matte finish seem worse than it actually was. I really like the matte finish on this Mothca screen protector. It reduces reflections, fingerprints, and glare and feels smooth to use. The only downside is that the matte coating makes the screen slightly less crisp and bright than the original display, but after adjusting the settings, it looks much better.

I’ve used Mothca matte screen protectors before and they’ve been great but I got a new phone and had to get a new protector, I’ve had this on for four days and the entire left side of the screen is no longer sticking to the phone… and the matte itself looks like it’s warped and bubbling. It hasn’t sat out in the sun, it hasn’t been dropped. My phone has been either in my purse or in my pocket when I go out. So unfortunate since I now have to buy another one but I’ll be buying a different brand. Maybe mine is defective but I got my husband one too from Mothca and the very next day after we installed it he showed me a hairline crack or flaw in the middle of the screen—he works at a desk all day and had come straight home from work. So why his phone had a hairline fracture in it is beyond us.

First off, love the matte texture. Super smooth, very good at reducing glare, and the privacy feature is great. Second, the installation is relatively easy. No bubbles or anything like that so long as you clean your screen off well. I’d power my phone off before installing just so you can actually see if any bubbles were trapped, but after two screens, I had no issues here. Third, for the money? Pretty decent value. However you only get 1 screen and that’s kind of a bummer since most screen protectors include at least 2, but what can ya do, it’s just 10 bucks. Fourth, and this is why I docked a star. The screen is pretty fragile. I’ve broken two in like 2 weeks. Minimal drops from like 1ft up. Seems like the edges are extremely prone to cracking. So did it protect my actual screen? Yes. But the screen protector itself took a dive twice. I’m buying a third because I do like the matte texture and overall feel of the screen, but if that one fails, I’m gonna have to switch back to tempered glass and deal with it.

This screen protector is possibly the best privacy one I’ve used. You get your moneys worth, and it’s definitely not overpriced for what you get. It fits perfectly, doesn’t complicate touch sensitivity at all. Super easy to install as it comes with the kit to prep. It brings the alcohol pad, some dust stickers and the dust wipe. The reflective impediment too is A GREAT bonus for privacy
