These knives were a HUGE disappointment!!!! It's a good thing that I kept my old knives. I couldn't even slice through a fresh loaf of Italian bread with the bread knife. Then I attempted to cut some celery stalks and that was the deciding factor to throw out!!! The set is colorful and nice to look at, but thats about it. I have a color theme, black red, gray, and white. It looks great and goes great with my kitchen. Every knife that comes in the set has a serrated blades, except for the scissors. And there isn't even a bread knife like my other one had. There's not one sharp knife to cut an onion or vegetables the way I like. And they're not sharp you have to work at it to cut a potato. Don't give me started on raw meat. would love to sharpen them but you just can't. Well you probably could but it would ruin the dull serrated blade. If you just want a decoration set.
