  • Fantastic charging system. Fantastic charging system.
Model: Ostation 2 Pro+ 24 Batteries
Fantastic all-in-one charging system/battery organizer with smart features — missing one advanced function. I’ve tried quite a few battery chargers over the years, and this is easily the best all-in-one system I’ve used, especially for households going through lots of batteries (kids’ toys, remotes, controllers, etc.). The biggest feature here is convenience. Being able to drop in a mix of batteries and have the system handle everything automatically is a huge upgrade over traditional chargers. This along with with the Wi-Fi connectivity and the o-light app that allows you to monitor charging progress from anywhere on your phone, turn the machine on or off, pause charging, and set up a charging schedule if you wish makes it a bit smarter than other “smart chargers”. The only downside (minor): There is no refresh/discharge function. This is the one feature I wish it had. I had a drawer full of close to 10 year old Eneloop NiMH batteries that the charger initially rejected as invalid (not surprising as they had sat for years depleted and unused). After running them through a few charge/discharge cycles on a separate charger, most of them revived and were then accepted by this unit. That suggests the hardware is capable, but a refresh/analyze mode would make this a complete solution. Not a dealbreaker, just something advanced users will notice. Battery performance (real-world use) • The included O-light NiMH batteries perform about as expected for mid-to-upper tier cells • Good for everyday devices (toys, remotes, controllers) • Not quite on the level of Japanese made NiMH batteries like Eneloop, Fujitsu, or Lada but clearly above a lot of the other cheaper Chinese made cells. The lithium-ion AA batteries however, are a huge upgrade as they: • Provide a consistent 1.5V output (similar to alkaline behavior) • Great for devices that are sensitive to voltage drop • Each battery includes a built-in BMS (battery management system) chip that communicates with the charger: The charger displays: • Battery health (0-100% scale) • Charge cycle count • Individual battery ID That level of feedback is something you normally only get from more advanced hobby chargers. All in all this is one of the most user-friendly and feature-rich charging systems I’ve used. For most people, it’s close to a perfect solution out of the box. It also has the potential for improvement via over the air firmware updates. If a refresh/discharge function were added (hopefully possible by future firmware update), it would easily be a 10/10 product. As it stands, I highly recommend it. Especially for families or anyone invested in rechargeable batteries. *Update* May 2026 Originally purchased in February and packaged with the unit, after 2 and half months or so of light use (all 4 have 8 or less charge cycles) 4 of the 12 Li-On batteries that came with the unit are apparently duds. They charge normally, the machine reports them as being 100% healthy, when voltage tested the probe reports 1.5V as it should. All exactly as it should be. Until any load whatsoever is applied to them, as in being used in anything, whether heavy or light they cannot power anything. Whatever device they are in either doesn’t work at all or chugs. Swap them out with NiMH batteries or another set of li-on batteries from the same pack and the device works fine. The machine itself and all the other batteries supplied continue to function superbly. ... show more

  • Neat, organized.
Model: Ostation 2 Pro+ 24 Batteries
I’ve been using the Ostation 2 Pro 3-in-1 Smart Battery Charger, and it’s been a great upgrade for my home. It’s really convenient having both AA and AAA batteries included, and I like that it handles different types without any hassle. Everything charges quickly and seems to last a long time. The setup was simple, and I don’t have to keep buying disposable batteries anymore. Overall, it’s reliable, easy to use, and definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Really easy and batteries always on tap!
Model: Ostation 2 Pro+ 24 Batteries
I wanted to be more conscientious of battery waste so I decided to pick this up. I have a bunch of Olight lights, so I expected this to be a good product. I wasn’t disappointed. This is very easy to operate. Throw the batteries in, and this handles the rest. It dispenses two batteries at a time, but charges them all. Charging speed is fine and I think this is worth it! Now please come out with lithium AAA and it will be perfect! ... show more

Model: Ostation 2 Pro+ 24 Batteries
Just plug it in load the batteries and let it go. Thing sorts the batteries then charges them and then drops them into the try. Bad ones get ejected automatically. Best charger that I have owned

  • Really close, issues with power supply
Model: Ostation 2 Pro+ 24 Batteries
The product itself is good, does what is advertised. My issue is with the USB-C power supply. The device REQUIRES a 12 volt power supply from its USB-C input. 12v is not a common voltage for USB power bricks to provide, with most outputting 5v, 9v, 15v and/or 20v. Without the 12v option on the brick, the station will refuse to function properly. It will work with a third party charger, but it must be able to provide 12v, which most don’t. This really sucks for anyone hoping to use this with a different brick or power supply or if the included one dies or gets lost. If a version 3 of this product is made, PLEASE use a standard USB-C voltage or just use a 12v barrel jack as you’re completely defeating the purpose of using USB-C. ... show more

  • Pro model working as expected - Don't count on it charging other brand Lithium AA's
Model: Ostation 2 Pro+ 24 Batteries
This new PRO model is working well for me so far. The display is a nice feature as I don't want to rely on the availability of a phone app in the future. We have run several nimh batteries through it with a few being kicked out as bad. When the "bad" ones were placed on the older Alpha charger all but one would begin charging. So, not sure yet that batteries that the Ostation flags as bad are really no good. Maybe the algorithm is a little conservative to reduce the chance of overheating or leaking inside the mechanism. I have not found specifics on the "charge quality" and whether the long-term health of the cells are affected over time. I am concerned about the robustness of the mechanical components of the charge unit. Regarding the Lithium rechargeable batteries, I found at least one review (not sure if here or elsewhere) indicated that the new model Ostation may charge other brand Lithium rechargeables, and could possibly be updated to charge other brands. The below reply from customer service seems to states that other brands are not, and cannot be, supported. I asked Olight support about Lithium battery support. Here is the response from the Olight Customer Service AI: --[Begin Olight Response]-- Thanks for reaching out to us. This is Olight AI assistance, I will try my best to resolve your issue. The Ostation Pro charger is designed to work with AA/AAA nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries and Olight/Ostation Ecolast 1.5V lithium-to-dry batteries. It utilizes a proprietary handshake protocol and a unique terminal design to ensure compatibility and safety. This means that the Ostation Pro will not charge third-party 1.5V lithium batteries, as they lack the specific top-ring contact required for the charger to identify and safely charge the battery. Additionally, the proprietary design of Olight's Ecolast 1.5V Lithium-ion batteries, which features both positive (center) and negative (outer ring) terminals on the top, allows the Ostation to provide a specialized charging profile regardless of battery orientation. However, this design also carries a higher risk of short-circuiting if the batteries are stored loosely with metal objects. To summarize: 1. The Ostation Pro cannot be updated to charge non-Olight lithium rechargeable batteries due to the proprietary handshake protocol and terminal design. 2. Users should handle Olight's Ecolast 1.5V Lithium-ion batteries carefully to avoid short-circuiting risks. --[End Olight Response]-- Here is Gemini AI's explanation of why the Ostation cannot detect and charge other brand Lithium AA 1.5V batteries. **WARNING:** AI/LLM Analysis follows - information may not be 100 % correct but is generally accurate **WARNING** A "smart" charger that can detect battery type/chemistry by applying a short charge pulse and measuring the batteries resistance can't use that same logic to detect and charge a standard third-party AA/AAA 1.5V Lithium battery? (other size, 14500, RC123, 18650,. etc Lithium batteries are 3.7 Volt) The answer lies in how 1.5V Lithium batteries are built internally, and it highlights why Olight’s "Ecolast" design is technically a different beast altogether. 1. The "Wall" of the Internal Regulator Standard 1.5V Lithium batteries (like Tenavolts or Deleepow) aren't just batteries; they are a 3.7V battery with a computer chip and a voltage regulator inside the shell. The Problem: When a charger sends a "pulse" to the Pos(+) and Neg(-) terminals to test a standard 1.5V Lithium battery, it isn't hitting the battery cell—it’s hitting the output side of a voltage regulator. The Result: The regulator is designed to maintain a rock-solid 1.5V output no matter what. If the OStation tries to "read" the battery, the regulator masks the true state of the internal lithium cell. Most smart chargers see this constant 1.5V with zero "feedback" and assume the battery is either a full NiMH or a non-rechargeable Alkaline, so they refuse to charge it to avoid an explosion. 2. Why Olight is different (The "Ecolast" bypass) Olight solved this "Wall" problem by adding that extra hardware (the top ring and ID chip). The "Secret Door": The top ring on an Olight battery acts like a "service entrance." When the OStation detects that ring, it knows it can bypass the 1.5V regulator and talk directly to the internal 3.7V lithium cell. Non-Olight Batteries lack the door: A standard third-party Lithium battery only has the center post. There is no way for the OStation to "get past" the internal 1.5V regulator to see the lithium chemistry inside. ... show more

  • So much more convenient than the old style charger So much more convenient than the old style charger
Model: Ostation 2 Pro+ 24 Batteries
Upon first plugging this in, it made a very loud noise - loud enough that I worried I would need to return it. However, the noise ended after about 10 minutes (give or take). I popped in old eneloop batteries to charge and they were charged SO much faster than the smaller charger that came with those batteries. I think it charged 8 batteries in probably an hour or less (I didn’t pay close attention to time because I didn’t have to do anything to trade them out or anything). When it was finished, they were neatly lined up ready to put away. I love that it automatically turns the batteries and sorts them. It’s much easier to use than the older style of charger for AAA batteries specifically because those sometimes pop out of the seat and you’re not actually charging them. I would buy this again without hesitation. ... show more

So far, not so good. I bought the expensive batteries from the brand that goes with it and at this point, every single one of the a batteries doesn't charge and goes to the invalid battery box. I've tried to reach out to customer service, but it seems to be an International based company and i'm not sure if I'll get a response. Gonna 2 wait about a week.
