Definitely a good addition to the mouthpiece after i tasted some bug spray one time. You have to pull the tube off to install the cap and it’s a loose fit over the mouthpiece. It does its job and comes off easy if you want to drink. Wish it would come with the pack though.

It does what it’s supposed to and works well. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to install it. It didn’t come with instructions. When not installed properly it will slip off the bite valve. I think like many others that it should’ve came with the hydration pack. No one wants their bite valve exposed and covered in dirt, sand, and all else. ... show more

I'm the kind of hiker that takes my bag off and lays it on the ground a lot and this definitely keeps my bite valve clean and free of trail junk. I'm a fan. It should really come with the hydration pack by default.

    • Bought by mistake. Thought it was the bite valve

Bought by mistake thinking I was receiving the actual bite valve. It was my mistake, but, I think the packaging should not have a graphic of the valve on it to prevent this from happening. Also….why the heck don’t the valve covers come with the blade anyway.
