We ordered two of them the first one was easy to install the second one was not the screws that attach the light to the fixture were too short. My husband is handy so he made it work. The hanging is fine not as rich as it looks on line.

But I thought it had a piece of glass, screen something between the actual light fixture and the outside of wood frame. It looks like it belongs outside on a porch. I’m going to try and add something myself.

    • Nice looking but difficult to install
I bought these to replace a foyer and a hallway light. End result is that they look great and the light is more than sufficient. The difficulty is in the installation. I'm not a certified lighting installer but have installed hundreds of ceiling fixtures with little or no difficulty - these were a challenge. 1: The two threaded studs that mount the fixture to the junction box in the ceiling are barely long enough to make it through to the fixture and be capped with the nuts in the fixture. Especially if the junction box isn't mounted nearly flush with the surface of the drywall ceiling. So you have to extend them down as far as possible but the caps only screw on so far, so if they're extended too far down then the lamp hangs loose from the ceiling a little bit and can rock. OR if you hang the studs down not far enough, you can't get them through the light enough to screw on the caps. 2: Due to the size/width of the base of the fixture and it being solid, it's VERY difficult to get the studs to line up and through the holes where you need to cap nut them. The width shades it so that it's so dark you can't see the bolts, so I needed a flashlight, but also since the base is so wide and dark it's easy to scuff/scratch up the ceiling as you rotate it around trying to get the nut in the hole and then searching for the other one. ... show more

Love this new light fixture and so glad that I purchased it. The only thing I wish it had was a light sensor. I looked at so many fixtures for my front door and thougt this one had the sensor, my bad. Otherwise, this looks amazing.

We were replacing a 12 inch square light fixture and did not want to have to pain the ceiling. I was very disappointed to see the imprint of the old fixture on the ceiling after installing this new light fixture. Also, the copper ground wire came loose. We had to attach it to one of the screws within the fixture. I suggest you use different wire nuts than those provided. ... show more

adapter for the junction box feels cheaply made. Adjusting the screw you need to be very careful will strip very easy. I do enjoy the design of the light.
