The massage methods include rollers and air pressure, and my favorite feature is the stretching function—it’s very comfortable. Our whole family can use it, and the chair can adjust the massage angle according to different body shapes, making it very intelligent. The quality of the Bluetooth speakers is also very good, with immersive surround sound. The only downside is that this model is rarely available in physical stores; I had to do research online and buy it to try it out. Luckily, the machine is very good, otherwise returning or exchanging it would be quite troublesome.

I am beyond disappointed with Osaki and their so-called “customer support.” I purchased their massage chair with the cover they provided, only to find that the cover caused permanent stain transfer all over the leather of the chair. As you can see from the pictures, the damage is severe and completely ruined the appearance of a brand-new chair. What makes this worse is that I called their tech support in Carrollton, TX, and was told there’s nothing they can do since it’s “not a mechanical issue.” That’s their excuse. But here’s the problem: the cover came directly from them! At no point did they provide a disclaimer or warning that the cover they supply could actually damage the leather on the chair. This isn’t normal wear and tear—it’s a manufacturing and quality control issue that they refuse to acknowledge. Selling a product with an accessory that destroys the very thing it’s meant to protect is unacceptable. Their refusal to take accountability or offer any solution shows a complete lack of responsibility toward their customers. Osaki markets themselves as a premium brand, but their service is anything but. A company that hides behind excuses instead of standing by their products is not a company I can recommend. If you’re considering buying from them, beware: you may end up with a damaged chair and a company that washes their hands of it.

After reading the stellar review from New York Times, I had such high hope when I ordered this chair expecting all my back and shoulder tension would melt away. After it is installed, my first impression was "pain" on the shoulder blades. I am about 5'10'' 150 lb. Skinny in American standard. The rollers move side to side on the shoulder blade on the protruding bony parts that was painful. For people who has broader shoulder or good subcutaneous padding, this chair would suit much better. I , with hope that the pain would disappear, tried to adjust rollers with settings. There seems to be no way to adjust the auto presets. I ended up using only manual settings to lower the intensity and width of the rollers. It was more tolerable with minimum intensity and minimum width of the rollers. Roller width is adjustable in only one kind of manual setting whilst there are 4-5(?) different manual massage techniques. I tried padding with some blankets to mitigate the pain. Well, not quite satisfactory either. NYT reviewers were quite satisfied with this chair. This chair would work well with people who are not too skinny like me. With a great regret, I decided to return this one feeling sorry to the seller.

Awesome 👌 Have suffered with back and hip pain for many years Have gone to rehab 3 times and still have pain and problems falling and staying asleep And my youngest puts down flooring and does tile in showers is in pain when he comes home now I see him more often

This massage chair is weak and feels cheap and is completely unsatisfying. It doesn’t do anything for the head, neck, or upper shoulders. The massage doesn’t feel cohesive. It does one section at a time. You won’t feel like you’ve had a massage at the end. The heat barely works. Very annoying how bad this massage is. They charge you $250 to return. Don’t buy!

After winning NY Wirecutter's, "Best Massage Chair" we decided to treat ourselves. Amazon also offered a 300.00 discount so that was a win. Fedex delivered in one week. We slid it out of the box and literally just had to plug it in. We are both hardcore golfers (two-three times a week) so we are both using the chair for our lower back every morning and night and we love it!

The problem with this massage chair is that all the preset modes (relax, stretch, demo, upper back, lower back) also have preset strength, which are often set to the lowest! That means if you're like me, and like to set the massage to high or max, you can only do so in manual mode. The problem then is that manual mode only does one motion. So if you're looking for a massage chair that can do a full body massage while mixing things up a little (roller, kneading, in and out, tapping, vibrating) while on high strength, this massage chair just doesn't have the programing for it. The chair does provide a nice massage on high in manual mode. I also appreciate the SL track to massage the gluteal muscles. I just have to hold the controller and manually mix up the motions... which is much less relaxing.
