You start a project and one of four things happen: 1). The project finishes - extremely rare 2). The project burns a little, you get your hopes up, but the movement stops and the laser keeps burning. Panic button time! 3). The projects burns a little, you get your hopes up, but mid project(sooner or later) the damn machine homes. 4). The project burns a little, you get your hopes up, but the machine just powers down - no movement, no laser Support is useless as teats on a bull. “You need a better USB cable, you need to be on a different electrical outlet, etc.. Everything but our machine sucks! If you want an engraver, buy one where you use a flash drive to store and run your projects. I cannot and will not recommend this machine!

Really cool when it works but keep running into issues that their tech support seems unable to help with. First, it sounds like the stepper motor is skipping when traveling in the y axis. When cutting lines it never quite stays on track. Can't seem to cut simple shapes without getting off track and if you try to do a second run at the same shape it usually ruins it because it's misaligned. Second, I was never able to connect it to my macbook pro. tried everything tech support said. Not even a beep to recognize it connected to something. Hoping tech support finally send me some replacement parts to see if that works.

Laser started stopping without completely finishing the job and sometimes just not responding to command. Customer service has no phone number, we sent an email and got no response. The product is less than a year old and I can’t use it to complete engraving jobs. This costs me time and money. Hubby and I spent a day reading support forums and trying different fixes. Nothing worked. No support to ask or claim warranty. I suggest you buy something different

UPDATE: I ordered another to try again based on the great reviews havent even gotten refund for the first one that was returned. First burn and screws are falling out of the laser head while burning.... I cannot even make up gow bad my experience has been with this company.... jesus. ORIGINAL:I waited to setup the laser until I had a spoil board built and ready. Put the laser together (Terrible instructions) and something just was not right it would not burn on ply even at slow speeds. Cuts in 3mm ply took 6 passes at 100% etc. I contacted customer service let them know my return window was closing and needed to know what they thought might be happening they requested some video pictures and too much personal info (drivers license# or tax id#) then told me laser head was no good offering 2 options wait 7 to 10 weeks for replacement or pay for expedited shipping I agreed to pay for expedited shipping and now crickets. Return window closes today and I have gotten no response from anyone at Ortur. I guess I am returning all items I purchased including rotary and air assist and gone with a better brand.

Got it together hooked it all up to the test burn grid and is stopped working shut it off. Turn it back on starting back up. Try to get it to stop and wouldn’t stop had to shut off by safety switch

I did not purchase the LM3 from Amazon but directly from Ortur. I went to assemble it but it is missing a part. I have been writing to Customer Service and they will send missing parts. However, they will not provide any shipping dates as too when I could get the parts. Currently, they have no idea. This is extremely frustrating to have an expensive pile of parts that I can not use
