Description

Tackle listed bugs before they can come inside with Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Lawn & Landscape Ready-to-Spray. This pest control product kills 235 listed insects, including ants, spiders, mosquitos, ticks, fleas, centipedes, periodical cicadas, and scorpions. Use this odorless, non-staining formula on lawns, around your home perimeter, and on landscape plants including fruit trees and vegetables (review chart on the label for application directions). To apply, attach your hose to the sprayer and turn on water. Spray lawns evenly, and spray applicable plants to wet leaves and branches, but not to the point of runoff. For perimeter treatment, spray the foundation to a height of 2 feet and also a 2-foot band around the house next to the foundation. People and pets may enter treated areas after spray has dried. One 32 fl. oz. bottle of Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Lawn & Landscapes covers 5,300 sq. ft. for lawn treatment, 2,700 sq. ft. of plants, or 1,400 sq. ft. of home perimeter.

I was worried they would destroy my new tree & found a YouTube video showing this spray was being sold with little hang tags stating this does work on lantern flies (not sure where, mine didnt come with one). I LOVED ortho bug b gone and this home defense spray. It used to work so well and last. Now they came out with 3 month and 6 month lasting products and they don't work as well as the original. They should never have changed it. It barely works for a week for mosquitoes and other pest bugs. So disappointed!! ... show more

This definitely works but not for 3 months. I find myself wanting to do it again in a month but I'm pleased with that. A month with very few bugs makes me so happy. It even gets a lot of the mosquitos! And we haven't seen a tick since we started using it.

    • Keeps clover mites away

In the spring and summer, my patio, driveway, and deck are always covered in red clover mites that leave a red orange stain when they are smushed. They are my biggest outdoor aggravation and they are attracted to heavily fertilized grass which we have. That is what I use this for primarily. I spray this and it keeps it under control for a while ( not sure about the 3 months though). I just sprayed this morning and will do it again in a month or two and usually a few days before we have our annual pool party or if entertaining a lot outdoors. I sprayed it last year before our party and we had no mosquitos or anything else. We also get deer and foxes and so far and have had no tick issues either. Took a star off because the connection to the hose is not a closed seal. As soon as I turn on the water and start spraying, there is spray that comes out of the connection too. I have bought this product twice. It works well. Easy to use and effective against mosquitos. Bought twice. First time no problems...4stars review. The second time I ordered it the nozzle was broken and it sprayed the liquid on me instead of in the lawn so I will give it a 1 star. Hopefully one time thing and if I purchase in the future I will not get defective product. ... show more

I have used this product for the last 4 years I normally use at least two applications during the summer particularly on my rose bushes to fight against pests that chew holes through the leaves ...I also have grub issues in my front yard that eat huge patches of grass around the end of July it fights against both leaving my yard looking perfect, this is a must have every year ....for those complaining about ants in the house it does fight against ants but don't forget to use their indoor spray, I also use the indoor spray in which I spray each window seal and around the perimeter of each bedroom and all doors ... show more
