Description

Tackle listed bugs before they can come inside with Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Lawn & Landscape Ready-to-Spray. This pest control product kills 235 listed insects, including ants, spiders, mosquitos, ticks, fleas, centipedes, periodical cicadas, and scorpions. Use this odorless, non-staining formula on lawns, around your home perimeter, and on landscape plants including fruit trees and vegetables (review chart on the label for application directions). To apply, attach your hose to the sprayer and turn on water. Spray lawns evenly, and spray applicable plants to wet leaves and branches, but not to the point of runoff. For perimeter treatment, spray the foundation to a height of 2 feet and also a 2-foot band around the house next to the foundation. People and pets may enter treated areas after spray has dried. One 32 fl. oz. bottle of Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Lawn & Landscapes covers 5,300 sq. ft. for lawn treatment, 2,700 sq. ft. of plants, or 1,400 sq. ft. of home perimeter.

You cannot go wrong with any ortho product. Let me tell you I lived in Florida and the fire ants, and anything else that you can think that has wings or that can fly in your eyes or ears is here. So make sure that you get at least 1 to 2 extra bags, because no matter what you will use this. I use a strainer. That I used for pasta and then I tap a plastic cup along on the side, and uh, bend over and walk along my entire property. I may look like an idiot, but I'm the only one that lives here in Florida, that can lay in their yard and with their dog. Not be 8 up or have to lather myself in off, so do yourself a favor make sure you get it down in the beginning of spring and then the beginning of summer, it will not hurt. Any of your plants were your dirt or anything. My grass even grows better due to all of the bugs eating all of the nutrients out of it. So as hard as it is to grow grass in florida, this will allow you two.Have it thick and very nice. Also makes it amazing that you can weed eat with your hands without having to spray yourself down because if it has not rained, this stuff stays active day after day after day. It works great on my lawn. I hooked this insect spray into the garden hose, and circled spray it into the infested areas. The results were phenomenal, it neutralized the critters on contact. Buy it, try it, see the elimination at work!

EDIT: I gave this product only 2 stars originally. But after doing research and following recommendation I managed to resolve my backyard flea problem with this product. The problem with fleas is that they sort of "hibernate" in hard shell cocoons. And its impossible to create a chemical product which is safe (non-toxic) and kills fleas in all stages: larvae, cocoon, adult. If you make such product, it would be highly toxic for humans too. With my overly simplistic approach I sprayed 3 times, but I just did nothing in between these spraying sessions. Teenage fleas hide in impenetrable cocoons and can stay there for months. They get out of their cocoons when there is a potential meal walking nearby. So I decided to combine the poison with luring the fleas out of their cocoons. I walked around the backyard, stomping and slightly jumping to cause surface vibration. Then I sprayed the yard. Now, after couple of such sessions the fleas are finally and completely gone. Summary. This poison is just a good tool. But you also need to know how to use it correctly. ORIGINAL: I have a tiny backyard closed with a fence. A few stray cats visited and left some guerrilla combatants in a form of fleas. I made sure that cats couldn't trespass anymore and decided to use this product to kill fleas. I sprayed once. No result, same amount of fleas. Sprayed second time after a week. Less fleas, but still a lot. Waited another week and sprayed the third time. Three days past, there are much less fleas, but I still caught 3 fleas jumping on me. And even a single flee is too much. I must be zero. This product definitely doesn't work.
