The good, everything fits perfectly. Well, I'll focus on the no so good in this review, and understand that everything else is good. First, when I connected the reverse signal on my reverse light, the camera and the rear view in my radio would come up every time I start the car. Could it be that my MK6 has the technology package and keyless start-stop and this creates the issue? I don't know, but it was annoying. My installer solved the issue by passing a wire up to the rear of the radio and use the factory reverse signal. That was a pain, and not in the installation instruction. This is solve though. Second, it claims it has the grid line, and it does not! See the photo. I can live without these lines, but I have a hard time with false claims. I have the RCA model with an after market Pioneer radio. Edit: The instruction mentioned that cutting the white wire would inverse the camera (for a front camera for example), but in this case, cutting the wire made the grid lines show up. Product works very well once installed, but I can't give it a 5 stars because of the inaccurate installation instruction. ... show more

    • Guide lines are WAY too narrow!

The Good - Great fit and finish. The unit itself installs and feels just like OEM. Camera picture quality is very good (RCA version to RCD-330 head unit). The Bad - The guide lines are so narrow that they indicate the inside of the tires! That’s about 2 feet too narrow, if you include the width of the mirrors. And that’s on a small 2012 Golf.! They are useless, not to mention dangerous. If only there was a way to adjust them, this camera would get 5 stars. I contacted the manufacturer (Navinio) about it and was told, “sorry the lines can’t be adjusted, but if you want to remove them, just cut the white wire”. That’s actually opposite of reality. The camera out of the box, has a white wire loop (no guide lines). If you cut the loop, then you get the inaccurate lines. That’s probably why it wasn't even mentioned in the installation instructions. I had to reconnect the wire loop (no guide lines) as it was just an accident waiting to happen. Now I have a camera that I specifically purchased because It had guidelines, but found out after 2.5 hrs installation time, they are unusable. I know I can’t be the only one out there. ... show more

I have a sideways picture I checked all wires multiple times read through the forums cut the white wire it gave me guide lines but the picture is still sideways please help!!! Ok so I figured it out disassemble the camera and place it right side up.

The media could not be loaded. i love the durability, authentic feel, forward design. this piece will maintain the trunk open functionality and the camera will actually “disappear” into the bezel when not in use. i purchased the “total tech” package (one year for 199$) from best buy as i want to upgrade my 4 cars audio/back up cameras and they said they had never seen or installed a camera like this. it functions great with the after market stereo and even has guide lines when in reverse. ... show more

Bought this for my daughter’s 2009 EOS. I have it running to a JVC CarPlay head unit. Got the camera installed today and it works perfectly. Looks and functions just like the factory VW badge we removed. Same “feel” as OEM, if that makes any sense. This product was not as advertised there were a few additional parts needed. I had my stereo reconfigured to support a rear camera. Once the camera was installed and you put the automobile in reverse you get a blank screen that says looks clear but you don't see anything..
