If you recently purchased an LG OLED smart TV but hate the "magic remote" that has the pointer, voice control, and weird wheel button for "select", then this is the remote for you. I know I sound old school but just give me the basics. The original remote also had clunky buttons that were hard to depress and not very responsive. Works well. I bought this to replace lookalikes that were dead on arrival. Well, it came with two, and only one worked for 5 minutes. Don’t buy the lookalike. Buy this one. Don’t try free universal remote apps on your phone either because they’re not compatible with every function your TV has and you’ll get advertisement popping up while you’re trying to use the app. This is worth it, especially for under $10. I am having trouble with using it with the cable box, but I think that’s more of an issue with the cable box or TV model. Our remote disappeared....and we do not have kids! This is listed as original replacement remote and is very close. A few features missing but none that affect the operation. Works great and no set up.
