  • Did the job, made my Remington work like new.
Made my Remington work like new. I almost went out to buy a new chainsaw and I'm glad I didn't. Super affordable fix. Couldn't be happier. Do it.

  • Nice chain, but not for Makita UC4030A
This is a well made, pre-lubricated chain and would probably work extremely well on a compatible chainsaw. Unfortunately I bought it for the Makita UC4030A electric chainsaw and it does not fit (too much slack). Oregon does say that this chain is compatible with the previous model of that saw (Makita UC4000) and that may be true but it is *NOT* the right size for the Makita UC4030A. Unfortunately Amazon *still* lists the S58 as a compatible item with the UC4030A saw in the form of the "frequently bought with" recommendation. Don't make the mistake I (and many other Amazon shoppers) made. If you want a replacement chain for the Makita UC4030A saw, then get the Oregon S56 16-Inch Semi Chisel Chain Saw Chain . The S56 is Oregon's recommendation for a replacement chain for the Makita UC4030, and I've tested it and confirmed that it fits perfectly. ... show more

  • Like cutting butter
While Im good at sharpening my blades (with the Oregon sharpener kit), whenever I buy a new Oregon chain, my Dewalt 16" electric 40v cuts once again like the wood is butter.

  • Very fast cut
This chain is very sharp and the rake is perfect. I sharpen my chain moderately while i am using my saw but i definitely change mine more often than most people i know. I don't tolerate my chain slowing me down, when it starts to get dull i will lose more time than the cost of this chain. My local shop wants 1/2 the cost of this chain to sharpen it and it still doesn't cut like a new chain. I don't bother. For the amount i use my saw, it takes about 2 months to beat my chain up, so buying a new chain that often is not a big deal, and my old beat up saw always cuts like a new saw fresh from the store. ... show more

  • Use the Oregon Company Fitment Guide to Get the Right Chain
The Oregon Company has a Fitment Guide and Text Messaging System that will guarantee you the proper Chain for your Chainsaw. The general guides you see on the Description is NOT always correct but if you use their Text Messaging Assistance (the link is in the Descriptions) THEY WILL CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY AND GET YOU THE RIGHT CHAIN. I originally started to order the WRONG Chain before I used the Oregon Fitment System and they answered within 1 hour with the right Chain and told me the other Chain I was getting ready to order would not fit my Remington Electric Chainsaw. They were correct and the Chain they recommended fits perfectly (and cuts great). Kudos to the Oregon Company. ... show more
