It’s cheap, will protect me from more serious injuries. Can’t complain much about it. I have a big head and it works for me. It came half assembled and to assemble the other half was easy. It had an adjustable strap to get the had on more securely and the ear muffs are good at lowering the decibels of the chainsaw. I can always stuff more foam inside the cups if need be.

Used my Oregon chain saw safety protective helmet today harvesting some downed piñon trees, yes for the chiminea, it’s light, when adjusted fits snug, kept all the chain saw debris from my face, ear plugs fit and adjusted perfectly for me, and they were effective, good design…tell everyone!

I just received this safety helmut and haven't used it yet but it looks like it will work very well for my upcoming tasks. Others complained about the headband being too tight but I've worn safety hardhats before and this headband was easy to adjust to your security / comfort level. So far my opinion is it is a good product with a lot of thought put into its' design. Update January 2026. After using this while getting rid of a tree it did its job and protected my head from debris and the like. One reviewer made mention that the face shield being mesh was an added plus because it didn't fog up or scratch, I second that positive opinion and also want to say it remained comfortable to wear while working. That is an absolute must for hardhats.

Works great for grinding. You can see thru the mesh pretty good. Having the muffs and face shield as an integrated unit is definately worth the money. And no plastic shield to get scratched and fog up. It also take the place of a hat if you are out in the sun. If you are doing much grinding, this is a no-brainer.

This helmet/face shield/earmuff combo seems to be pretty cheaply made but it is adequately functional. Helmet is comfortable to wear. Ear muffs did not work well for me - would not seal tight over my ears - so I took them off to reduce weight and use in-ear plugs instead. Mesh face shield works pretty well but due to the way the hinges are designed and mounted did not want to lower all the way for down and and stay down. This gear is OK for occasional use but if your a pro or do a lot of chainsaw work you'd probably want something better.
