Features

  • Check Before Installing: If your old solenoid has ribs or a collar above the threads, that's a separate adapter - reuse it by threading it back onto your valve before installing this solenoid
  • Replaces Model 57039: Newer internal plunger design; for older valves with metal plungers, as needed remove existing O-ring from valve threads before installation
  • Compatibility Check: Fits most Orbit jar-top and 100-series valves; does NOT fit L-Series valves (use model 57226 for L-Series)
  • Easy Installation: Hand-tighten into valve, connect wires with waterproof nuts; works with Orbit, Hydro-Rain compatible valves
  • What's Included: One 24V solenoid with insulated lead wires; operates from 20-28V AC with standard irrigation controllers

Description

STOP - Read This Before PurchasingCritical Installation Note: Many older Orbit 100-series valves used a separate adapter piece between the solenoid and valve bonnet. When you remove your old solenoid, look carefully at what came out. If you see ribs or a collar above the threads, you removed an adapter along with the solenoid. Thread that adapter back onto teh new solenoid or valve bonnet (hand-tight) BEFORE installing this new solenoid. Skipping this step will cause leaks or fit issues.Compatibility Check:Works with: Orbit jar-top valves, 100-series valves, most standard 3/4"-20 UNEF threaded valvesDoes NOT work with: L-Series valves (order 57226 instead), DV-series, PEB-series (without separate adapters)Replacing an old metal-plunger solenoid? Remove any rubber O-ring inside the valve threads. The new internal plunger design doesn't need it - leaving it in can prevent proper shutoff. What's included: One 24V solenoid with waterproof housing, stainless steel internals, and insulated wires. Operates reliably from 20-28V AC. Replaces discontinued model 57039.Installation steps:Turn off waterDisconnect wires from old solenoidUnscrew old solenoid - check if an adapter came with itIf adapter present, thread it back onto valve bonnet firstRemove any old O-rings from threads (optional)Hand-tighten new solenoid into placeConnect wires with waterproof wire nutsTurn water back on and testFor outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

  • Works Great!
Item Package Quantity: 1
Simple solenoid replacement for your sprinklers. Easy to install and most likely you will not need any tools. Just hand tighten.

  • Solenoid for Orbit Valve

Used this on one of my Orbit irrigation valves. It works great as expected and is easy to install.

  • It’s a little bit noisy (video w/sound)
Item Package Quantity: 1
The media could not be loaded. It fit perfect, it's not leaking yet and operates as expected but…it’s a bit NOISY! I docked a star for this as it’s the only one in my series of solenoids which does this and I can hear it from my backyard patio. Going to order a new one and see if that sounds better. I didn’t see any other comments about this so maybe I got one with audio components. 🤷🏻♂️ ... show more

  • Fixed my broken sprinkler valve
Item Package Quantity: 1
My sprinkler valve was jittering like crazy. Buzzing away. Replaced the solenoid and all was fine. Cheaper and easier than a new valve.

  • Work but noisey

Bought because they were the cheapest but also noticed they are noisy when running as they buzz. No real issue as mine are under ground.

it was buzzing so I replaced it with one from lowes , just to get another bad part for 10.28 then ordered it on amazon came the next day for less and it works . way to go .I seen on line later that big box stores get lots of bad parts , the buzzing stopped after I installed the new one . thanks

  • Quality product and shipped next day. Hard to believe this could be done for this cost.
Item Package Quantity: 1
I paid over 2 times as much for the exact solenoid at my local hardware store and it was the last one in stock. Willing to bet the replacement when it is back in stock will be MORE $$$ The hardest part was removing the old solenoid and for the record it had the metal spring loaded tip that some reviewers said this solenoid would not fit. My example solenoid replaced it without issue, I have lived at this residence for nearly 40 yrs and had the sprinkler system installed shortly after move in. For the record the solenoid I received was model#57041 Orbit branded. I ordered another one for stock and I have used this solenoid before and so far they have held up just fine. ... show more
