I received estimates in the thousands, to install an underground sprinkler system. I purchased the orbit sprinkler system and it works perfectly! The complete sprinkler system came in 1 box all the parts were there and in perfect condition. The system was super easy to install after watching 1 or two YouTube videos. In one day I had a fully operational underground sprinkler system. All the sprinkler heads worked perfectly , the spray adjustments were easy and No leaks in any of the connections! Here are my suggestions do not get the kit with the wifi water timer ! I spent hours with orbit support team and it just would not work! Period! The manual timer works perfect! Lastly.. plan your loop carefully...you only get so many 90° elbows to make your turns! My suggestion is to by the bigger kit .....which i did not do..its not that much more in cost and you have a lot of extra parts!!! Any way my total cost for my new front lawn was $300 vs 1000s $300 included *the orbit sprinkler system * top soil * grass seed *hay Great product! I highly recommend! ... show more

Works great, better than I expected! I ran hose under my deck before burying to make sure the system would work as needed. The throw on the heads is a bit shorter than the chart prescribes, but it works fine. I am only using 5 heads instead of 6 (max prescribed per zone). My pressure is right in the middle of the acceptable range, although I did have an issue calibrating the app for water flow as my setup takes about 40 seconds of full water pressure to raise all the heads, longer if my other hose bib is running. Please with the setup, installed in less than 2 hours without burying. LOVE the wifi timer (but wished it worked with Smart Things). Considering expanding. ... show more

Follow instructions and this is a straightforward installation with 2 issues. It’s great that the kit came with a pressure meter to be able to tell the distance apart the heads need to be. Issue 1: The instructions for adjusting the arc of the sprinkler head were slightly incorrect. You do have to have the head in the clockwise most position, but turning the screw adjusted the arc differently that the instructions or even the video said. First the instructions said the arc was 180 degrees from the factory, but it was more like about 15 degrees. Then the instructions said 1/4 turn of the screw would adjust the arc 90 degrees, but it was more like 5-10 degrees. You have to turn the screw a few times to get it to 180 degrees. Go slow. Turn the head counterclockwise fully, then clockwise fully, hold in place and adjust the screw, then try the arc turning counterclockwise and then clockwise. DO WATCH THE VIDEO on their web site anyway. Be careful to have the top turned all the way clockwise when you install the head in the ground, this is the right most end of the arc. But its easy to move it, just unscrew the top and turn the top and reinsert. Took me a few times to get it right. Issues 2: The app had great difficulty adding the B-hyve sprinkler controller. I actually had to uninstall and reinstall it a few times. MAKE SURE your on a 2 ghz WiFi because it won’t work on 5 ghz. I almost called tech support to help, but it ended up working last try to install. Very happy with the system now. Oh buy a sod cutting step on blade and a skinny long shovel and a rake. Makes the digging way easier. Cut 2 lines with the step on sod cutter as wide as the shovel. ... show more

This system was easy to install, then it all went downhill from there. Every single fitting leaks, no matter how meticulously I cut the pipe or how firmly I insert it, so it loses water pressure and can barely power the included sprinklers. When I first set it up, I was able to get coverage for my whole yard, but over time, it got less and less effective. I noticed that the B-Hyve timer severely decreased the water pressure, so it was useless, as any time it was attached, the sprinklers barely worked. I never got anywhere close to 25ft of coverage from any of the sprinklers. It was more like 10-15ft, despite my water pressure measuring 50+ PSI. I would highly advise against this. I was able to install this entire system in a day, including layout, trenching, and installation. It has been working flawlessly for a month now. Highly recommend this system to anyone that wants to add a simple irrigation system to their lawn. The enclosed 125ft of line was not enough to finish my job, but I was able to find the same line at ACE Hardware down the street for $35 / 100ft. I really liked how easy this was to put together. My only complaints: they didn’t provide enough parts. They only have enough parts for one style of configuration. 1 tee fitting wasn’t enough and most certainly the amount of hose is not nearly close to be enough. I had to order more parts and more tubing which took a week to get. No hardware stores carry the tubing or fittings in stock. Amazon doesn’t have good options for individual parts. This is really disappointing. If you take their advice on the minimum (maximum) throw of 15 feet at 35 PSI, this means these 6 sprinkler heads need a minimum of 150 feet plus of piping. The kit comes with everything you need and is very simple to install. The setup is a bit tricky if you dont follow directions but nothing that cant be figured out. Once all is installed and setup, the app has so much features. Very user friendly.
