  • Great for changing an irrigation system over to drip.....
Item Package Quantity: 2
Overall, this manifold does what it claims. It's nicely made and seems durable (we'll see.... I live in a desert). We are tearing out bushes and replacing them with cacti and succulents.... which don't need a lot of water, but do need some. The answer we came up with is to convert out existing irrigation system to drip. You can adjust the flow on these manifolds... but all 4 ports end up with the same pressure and volume. That's great if you have all the same plants, but some require more water than others.... so we use different emitters to resolve that issue. We also had to adjust the flow on the sprinkler valve as removing free flow heads and replacing them with drip puts the sprinkler system under a lot of pressure. Even though you'd think that running 1/2" pipe into 4 - 1/4" pipes wouldn't be an issue, trust me.... it is. The installation is semi-brainless.... remove sprinkler head from riser and replace... but the thing you MUST know is that you have to heat the 1/4" tubing in order to get it to stretch over the "ring" above the threaded part of the port. The 1/4" tubing, in it's natural state, wants to stop at the ridge at the top of the threads. However, when pressurize the line the "leak fest" begins. My solution was to microwave a measuring cup of water, stuff the end of the tubing into the hot water, then push it onto the port until it seats above the ring and near the elbow. Of course, you don't want to over-stress the port... so support it while you stuff the tubing onto the port. Leak fest cancelled. Next will be the "fine tuning".... ... show more

  • Be careful and plan ahead and everything should work out fine.
Item Package Quantity: 1
Hmmmm.... All I can tell you is this manifold worked perfectly for me. The tubing, connections and sprinkler heads worked perfectly as well. Here are a few things that I did. When you attach the tubing to each output of the manifold, screw the rubber tubing on just like you screwed off the caps. You might as well take advantage of the threads as another way to prevent leaks. AND BE SURE to put pressure on the elbows of each corner of the tube as you twist the rubber tubing on. This will avoid creating any new leaks in the system. If you make a mistake and need to disconnect the tubing later, DON’T just pull it off. I would strongly suggest getting an Exacto knife or razor blade and slicing the rubber tubing on the side of the connection until you can remove it without pressure on the connection. I set the flow level on the manifold to 3 and left it there. This is what I used with my new manifold: 4 Mister Landscaper Drip Irrigation Micro Stake Assembly (also has volume flow control), 4 Mister Landscaper 4-Pack Adjustable-Spray Drip Irrigation Micro Sprays (3 pattern settings) & Mister Landscaper 1/4-in x 30-ft Vinyl Drip Irrigation Distribution Tubing (any 1/4 ‘ tubing will work). I used ordinary plastic wire ties to group the tubing together. In the picture, the manifold is in the lower left hand corner with the black arrow and the 4 heads are red arrows. The entire length of the Begonias row is about 12'. I think if you put undo pressure on any part of the manifold you may have problems. If you plan ahead and take your time this should work. I was surprised how well it worked for me. Took about 1 hour start to finish to connect the manifold to my in-ground sprinkler outlet and run 4 lines (almost all of the 30’ of tube I purchased) and adjust the sprinkler heads (yes, they do adjust and you can always change the angle and height of the stakes in the ground as well). Zero leaks, none, manifold, connections, sprinkler heads. However at this point, I’m seriously considering taking in for the winter. Although it says you don’t have to, I can’t imagine Ohio snow not damaging this set up with snow all winter. ... show more

  • Drip System Manifold
Item Package Quantity: 5
We are always replacing the manifolds on our drip irrigation system. We always try to keep spares in our tool box. This manifold allow us to expand our system and at the same time, the. OST per unit made it affordable to keep a few on hand for spares.

  • Be aware: Adjustment is for all four ports together. (Not individually)
Item Package Quantity: 10
I was familiar with the individual port adjustment on the 8 port manifold. I bought 10 of these 4 ports thinking the individual ports could be adjusted. My bad. The four port only allows for one adjustment of all 4 ports together.
