I like anything with a motor on it. I have multiple "toys". Some are home made others bought them with the motor on them. Never had an electric "toy"before. I received the bike. Packaged very week. Easy to assemble. The battery already had a charge to allow me to try it right away. I immediately fell in love with it. Once charged I rode it to the trail for serious testing. At first I had a bit of hard time choosing which mode to use and when. The bike can be used with no power (just like any other bike with 7 gears). Or with an accelerator located on the right had grip. Or pedal assist mode (has five settings). Make a long story short after few rides I settled on how to use the different modes based on my surroundings (trail, people present, or in traffic). I like this bike so much that I asked myself why I waited so long to get an electric bike. The battery has more juice than I can use on my daily exercise ride (10 miles each way). The motor has plenty of power for what I want it to do. I weight about 200lbs and can go 20 miles per hour. The pedal assist helps me keep going at a constant speed regardless of the dips or the hills on the trail. Re charging time is very acceptable. I just plug it in after each ride and it is ready for my next ride. The only thing that I don't like about it is it does not have shock absorbers. I feel every pump. I would buy again. ... show more

I had my doubts of which company to pick and heard oraimo is a trusted brand. So, I ordered two bikes for me and my wife. They were very easy to assemble and only took about 20 minutes to put together. Comes with all the tools you need inside. It’s well protected when it came to shipping and even had this metal bar that supports the forks to keep them from bending from potential shipping damage. As soon as we charged them, which only took about 2 hours for a full charge. We took them around the neighborhood and went probably around 21mph uphill. The seat is very comfortable for longer rides.     • Excellent Bang For Your Buck eBike
I don't write reviews often but I really wanted to for this one. I figured I'd share some helpful info for anyone looking to buy one as well to answer some questions I had when purchasing. I've got just over 100 miles on mine and so far so good. I got about 85 miles out of my first charge. Mainly since I ride it as a normal pedal bike, using the throttle to help with starts, headwinds, or hills. When riding alone I usually hang out in pedal assist level 1 and put in moderate effort myself. The cadence based motor works really well and isn't too abrupt as it brings you to speed at that level. The 7 speed drive train also allows you to have good pedal authority at all assist levels so you can help the bike as much as you'd like. Despite having live forks and no suspension it rides pretty well on pavement and packed gravel trails with the tires at 35psi. Oraimo has been excellent in terms of communication. They have phone, live chat, and email channels to which they have been very responsive with and helped me through any questions I had about the bike. The pedal assist levels correlate to the following speeds: 1 - 12 mph 2 - 14 mph 3 - 16 mph 4 - 18 mph 5 - 20 mph My only wish for this bike is that the user could change those speed settings. It would make more sense to use a broader range if you have 5 levels. Have level 1 start at 6 miles per hour and then increment up to 20. 12mph is too fast for urban use or certain trails that might have higher bike/pedestrian traffic. Luckily the throttle helps bridge this gap since it's fully analog and can be used to maintain speeds as low as 2mph. The only other tips I have to share would be to reset your trip meter, hold Mode and - for about 2 seconds and if you need to remove the rear wheel for any reason, the nut is an 18mm so I had to buy a one off socket for it. Also, when reinflating the tire after service, be sure the bead is set correctly all the way around, on both sides! Overall great bike. With the great reviews, I had high hopes for these bikes, as I bought two of them. I wish they would have remained high. They took about a week to arrive. Not long at all. The first one came out of the box and was easy to set up. The second one wasn't the same. The handlebar stem wouldn't lock in place. After further review, I noticed it was damaged. (see pics) I contacted the seller. It took about 48 hours to respond, 48 hours for a new stem to be mailed, and I received it in a week. It wasn't hard to install, and we took our first ride. After 10 miles the first bike battery was at one bar, the second bike was at four bars. I charged them, and tried again. Within .3 tenths of a mile, my battery lost a bar. (see pics) After 10 miles it was down to one. I contacted the company again. 48 hours to respond, another 72 hours to ship a new battery, received a week later. First battery was bad. The brakes on both were super loud. Everyone in rear shot, knew we were coming. After doing the suggested cleaning and adjustments, it went away for about 5 miles, then started again. I had to take it to a local dealer to have it adjusted. The brake pads were not installed correctly. So, six weeks later, and $200 dollars extra, I can ride the bike. It's been quite frustrating though. I would not do it again. I really wanted to like these bikes, but the hassle hasn't been worth the price. ... show more
