  • I'm Geeking Out Man!!!
Style: 700 lumens/56" Distance for 80" Image
This projector will blow you away! Incredibly compact (4x4 inches or 10x10 cm) and surprisingly bright! I've used this with my living room lights on and could still use the projector, and when you have it in your bedroom with the lights off its a full blown movie projector! The images are sharp and crisp, and the short-throw of the ML750ST is INCREDIBLE! With my projector just 10 feet away by our bed this projects the ENTIRE WALL! We've hooked up an Amazon Fire TV stick to this and now stream all our movies (NetFlix, Vudu, Prime, YouTube, etc). This has ruined my 42" flat-screen TV for me. I have also hooked up our Bose Soundlink speaker (using aux cable) and now have a fantastic experience with a tremendously huge image. I was skeptical at first that this little unit could do 200" images, but not anymore! Great quality, great value, and no regrets! It even comes in a bag the size of a school lunch box! We plan to take this projector to work meetings, volunteer meetings that we belong to, as well as hosting movie nights and generally using this on a daily basis in our room for watching movies from now on. The comfort of having an LED light source with a 20,000 hour lamp life makes this a joy to own and use without any anxiety of trying to limit it's uses or worry about buying an expensive replacement bulb that will dim over time. This is truly how projectors should be, compact, long-life, and really fun to use daily without worry. I highly recommend this projector for first time projector owners and people who want to dabble with what projectors can do for you. The 720p HD image is plenty crisp at these projected wall sizes for movies, trust me, you'll LOVE this projector. Now my review wouldn't be complete without any drawbacks: The file reader and system on this projector is slow - like read your USB drive for a minute or two slow. But its mini SD card reader is blazingly fast (which is an okay alternative). To use the internal storage is a real pain though, you need to have a male USB-A to male USB-A cord lying around (or buy one) to hook it up to your computer and copy files over to. It has around 2 GB of file storage internally that you can use and access from the Media menu. Video looping for backgrounds can also be annoying as the unit will display the video titles and controls for 5 seconds every time it loops the file. Ideally this unit shines while using an HDMI smart device (ie. Roku, Fire TV, Chromecast, Shield TV, etc). At least with a Shield TV or Steam Link you can stream your games and play them like never before! But as other reviewers have pointed out, the speaker on this unit (while it does work) is tin sounding and weak, having an aux input speaker handy will really make you LOVE this unit, so be mindful if you don't already own another usable sound source. If you're worried about Bluetooth the Amazon Fire TV has a Bluetooth connection pairing ability that you can use if this is a deal-breaker for you. ... show more

  • Wanted to Love this Projector, but No
Style: 700 lumens/Standard Throw
Optoma ML750 WXGA 700 Lumen 3D Ready Portable DLP LED Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI Port I wanted to love this projector because I am the happy owner of an Optoma HD26 and I was hoping to reclaim some space and shed some pounds when I travel. I was delighted when I read the marketing material for the ML750 which said, "Brightness, Color and Contrast ... it packs the power and performance of a full-sized projector in the palm of your hand." It does not pack the performance of a full-sized projector. It it not as bright, colors are washed out, and focus is not great. I tried several different modes, played with contrast and white levels, and never got a picture that I would be comfortable using in a business environment. If you had a dim room, could get your projector close-ish to the wall (like 6-ft), and if your deck/slides/PowerPoint didn't have graphics that relied on contrast, you would have a picture that was pretty good. It would be small-ish (4 to 5-ft wide), but it might be acceptable. If you had a dark room, image quality would be better. Fan noise, like all fans on all projectors, can be insistent at times. You can always fall back on the cool factor for this thing. It is very cool. Put it on a Manfrotto tripod and you will have the coolest gear in the room. It is much better than a bunch of people hunkered around a laptop screen, so if that is your point of comparison the ML750 is definitely something you should buy. Unfortunately compared to a full-size projector, it is not a game changer without compromise. I will continue to pack my Optoma HD26 and "wow" people with its image quality and relatively compact size (12.4" x 4.0" x 8.8", 5.5 lbs.) Sigh. ... show more

  • Product summary and product description - TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!
Style: 1000 lumens/Short Throw
The product was great, the problem I encountered was that even though on the website, it clearly states that the wi-fi adapter is included it isn't. In trying to get some resolution from both Optoma and Amazon I have found that it doesn't matter if it is advertised that the item is included or not, if they say it isn't included then it isn't.... but they were happy to send me a shipping label to return it. What... huh? Apparently customer service has completely gone out of the window for Optoma and Amazon. Cheers to acting like a monopoly and truth in advertising! ... show more

  • Great for small-scale meetings, has worked perfectly for two (now four) years so far for me
Style: 700 lumens/Standard Throw
I rarely (if ever?) give five star reviews. To me a five star rating means the product could not be improved in any way. I have had this projector for two years now. It gets used at least once a month and has worked perfectly for what I have asked it to do. I have not asked it to project a 50' image on a wall dozens of feet away, it's just not going to do that. :) But for small scale meetings and presentations it has worked perfectly. The size is perfect (very portable), it's quiet... in short, I have not regretted this purchase. I've used it on a table top (with a mini tripod) or mounted on my full-sized camera tripod. I've used it with a number of different laptops and never had a configuration issue. It just works. If you need something brighter, you're probably going to have to go with a bigger (or at least a more expensive) model. Update 2018 I have owned this projector now for four years (bought in October 2014, it's now September 2018, so close enough). It still gets used about once a month, and it continues to just work. The compromise for the size versus brightness and picture size for me is fine; I don't regret this purchase at all. Plus the fact that they're still selling it four years later should tell you something... ... show more

  • Owned about 14 months, and the unit is dead.
Style: 700 lumens/56" Distance for 80" Image
Do not buy this product. Don't get me wrong, it is a fabulous little workhorse. You will fall in love with the size and lumens and short throw. However, at about the 16 month mark, this cute little thing will die an untimely and confounding death. Heart attack, unresponsive. Dead as a doorknob. It's happened to me twice now. (2017 and 2018 purchases). Needless to say, I'm not going to try for a third time. Expensive mistake. ... show more
