I do not have anything to compare it to, but this head strap is awesome. This is my first attempt at an OEM external battery head strap and I think I hit a home run on the first swing. It is easy to install. I will admit I had to use a Youtube video though because I found the instructions a bit confusing. I was a little worried at first of removing things, because I was scared that I would break something. After seeing how it was done on a few videos. I gained some confidence and took a leap of faith. I am here to say that my Quest survived and was able to successfully be put back together. Not only does this device make it easier to put the Quest 3 on, it is also a lot more comfortable than the one that comes with the Quest. This strap is reasonably priced and I like that it does not have any distracting external LEDS or lights. It is very versatile, meaning that it fits my head just as good as it fits my 4 and 8 year olds heads. It is very sturdy and appears to be pretty durable. This is a blessing and a curse. My kids can now play comfortable for hours, which means they will be playing for hours. The extended battery last a long time, I have quit playing before I have run out of juice now. I like that the battery has a LED that displays the battery life in the googles. I cannot think of anything that could make this head strap any better. I will never look at the basic strap the same and will never be able to go back to using it. I strongly recommend this strap for your Quest 3.

I've been using this Meta Quest 3 battery strap for a while now, and I must say, it's an absolute delight. I use the Quest 3 a lot for work, so being able to work for more time with no interruptions is fantastic. The functionality of the battery strap is top-notch. It's a significant upgrade over the original strap that comes with the headset. I made this purchase based on the recommendation of a user. It seemed great initially, but it seemed like the supplemental battery just wasn't charging on the headstrap at all, so the only charge for my quest 3 was the standard direct charge. I thought that I had essentially just purchased a headstrap for my quest that made it heavier and served no other purpose. I contacted Annapro directly via their customer service, - they responded VERY quickly, asked for more information, and offered to replace it. That's the way it should be done. I actually got my original one working - I think the charging cable I was using just wasn't powerful enough for the supplemental battery. It's a solid headstrap and makes it much more comfy and secure. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the permanence of the piece that goes on the back of the head - once you snap it in, you CANNOT take it back off, so be careful when you're putting it together!!!

When I first got my quest 3 I did like the head strap but after about an hour or so it would start giving me a headache. I looked for aftermarket head straps and found this one that also includes a battery pack. I like to spend four to six hours in VR if I can. This strap and battery pack lets me do that. The head strap is very well made and is extremely easy to adjust. The strap that goes over your head has a material similar to memory foam that makes it soft and comfortable on your head. The back silicone rest is comfortable on the back of your head and with the battery it balances the weight very nicely. The adjustment mechanism on the back is very easy to turn whatever direction you need to so you can adjust the fit just the way you want it. I was able to adjust the fit so that the headset is perfectly placed in front of my face with almost no pressure. If I want it more snug I can just crank it a little bit more. I'm already very happy with the quest 3 headset as it is. This aftermarket strap and battery make this headset amazing. I will see how well the battery works and if it doesn't work as expected I will take off one star but just the comfort alone makes it worth four stars.

This is a really nice strap. The padding on the top is thick and feels like memory foam. I was afraid that having a battery built in would cause extra weight, but I don’t notice it at all! I really like the way this strap is designed. The hinges on the sides make it super easy to take on and off the Quest 3. And the wheel on the back tightens just enough to feel secure without adding undue pressure. It’s SO much better than the strap that comes with the Quest 3. A nice feature is that it will charge both the headset and the battery pack together when plugged in, but make sure you are feeding adequate power in order to do so. I’m using a 20w wall adapter and that is working nicely. I haven’t spent enough time with it yet to tell just how much extra battery life I can get, but if you want to play for more than 2 hours, or if you’re like me, and you don’t want to have to charge the headset every time you use it, you will definitely want a strap with a built in battery. It’s worth the extra investment for sure. I highly recommend this one.

I didn't know what "charging noise" was until I got this. Funny how the first thing it says is that it eliminates charging noise but there's a very obvious buzzing sound while using this. On the plus side, it charges the Quest while using it which significantly extends play time. So multiple people can now get a turn before you have to charge the thing for several hours. The new strap makes it much easier to put on and take off and adjust for your head. The battery pack also acts as a bit of a counterweight which makes the Quest feel lighter on my face. It's SO much more comfortable to wear now! It is important to charge them both separately. My first charge I had this connected to the Quest thinking it would pass through and charge them both together but it didn't. It only charged this battery pack fully while the Quest remained dead and once I turned it on it started charging from the battery pack. So disconnect the cable from the battery pack to the Quest and plug them both in to charge. That's much faster anyway. I'm worried about the disability of the adjustment wheel though. It's fine right now but it doesn't feel like great quality. If that wheel doesn't hold up this whole thing becomes trash. If that were to happen I think I'd just have to suck it up and get the more expensive one from the Meta store.
