This phone was exceptionally easy to install! It's well made with heavy wood. Volume control is excellent. The cord is cloth, the rotary dial actually works well and sounds like a touch-tone when used. The grandkids loved calling their own phones from it, learning how it actually worked. This is a quality telephone. I have owned one for a year as my sole source of communication (I have no cell phone) and I am delighted with its durability and features: generous cord length which allows one to sit and use it anywhere in the room, and it is made of cloth; pleasant traditional ring tone which also shuts off easily if one does not want to be disturbed; the wood is substantial and beautiful. Finally, and most importantly, they stand behind their product. I recently encountered an operational issue which the company corrected even after a year. I got this for my dad for Christmas. I was nervous if it would actually work. He loved it and was so excited to set it up. (He only has a landline and a prepaid cell phone for emergencies.) He uses this phone everyday as his main phone. He loves it. It works great!
