These pens are very similar to Sakura Jelly Rollers! One picture I will include actually shows just how similar they are, even in appearance! The scent is still in the paper I wrote on hours ago, nice sign. One of the best parts? You can use these on black! Yes, black! Included is a picture to show an example. Great deal! Specifically bought this brand bc I had bought them from the Papyrus store many years ago & the ink smelled AMAZING and actually smelled like what each pen said it was. These pens smell like nothing. The only pen with any scent is cherry. So it leads me to believe these have to be old or defective to have lost their scent. For the price NOT worth it for the lack of smell *the entire reason for buying them is the scent. ... show more

I wanted to love these pens - the fact that they are identical size and casings to Gelly Rolls was a good start. Buuut... Here was my problem: 6 of the 12 pens had bubbles in the ink barrel very close to the ballpoint (those six are featured in my attached photo). That means allllll the rest of that ink is wasted, as it will never flow down past that bubble. So that's basically 50% of the pens being almost empty. And here's my theory: If you search "Ooly Yummy Yummy Gel Pens" you'll find there is another listing for the exact same product in different packaging for about $1 more than this set (the only difference I could see was that the shape of the fruit stickers on the caps were stars instead of rounded clouds like these, and the font on the sides of the pens got an update). Of course I felt very clever by paying less for the *exact same thing* but now I understand why. This is old stock. It says 2011 on the back of the package. They were likely stored upright for the last decade, which is why so many bubbles appeared at the "tops" of the pens, and their age is why so many people are complaining that theirs had no scents at all (I will say all of mine did, but it was really light). So yeah, they're a dollar cheaper because they're old and the company is trying to get rid of them. Spend the buck on the good stuff. Because, as for quality... These pens are pretty nice. They aren't *quite* as "ice cream smooth" and flowy as actual Sakura Gelly Rolls - you'll still see the stripe from the ballpoint in your writing sometimes - but they are thick and very sparkly and fun, and have a good variety for the price (12 Gelly Roll "Stardust" glitter pens are $26 right now - and when I bought those, two were scratchy! So I actually liked these better...) And I think reviewers saying they're "too" sparkly might have been looking for metallic style gel pens instead of glitter. What I got is pretty standard. I would have kept mine if not for six of them being mostly "empty." As for my theory that the newer set will have less issues - by now I've returned these and the Stardust and am really happy with my Aen Art glitter set instead, so I had no need to buy and actually try the other package of "Yummy Yummy"s. So go forth and get 'em yourself if you're interested. A dollar more still is a pretty great price. ... show more

Got this for my daughter to incorporate with homework. She hated writing so much in pencil so I thought a little color would give incentive. It paid off. She really enjoys using them. The ink comes out so smooth and the shimmer is very noticeable in the ink. The colors look beautiful but the scent is barely there. If you are buying because of scent, I wouldn’t recommend. Bright colors, nice glittery finish, a scent that is noticeable and not annoying, and thickness enough for painting details and also for writing headlines. I am giving them only 4 stars because these have too much ink flow. They leave a drop at the beginning and end of writing and ink doesn't dry fast. Keeping this in mind, I am still enjoying them. My picture is not amazing but there you can see the pretty glitter and the thicker lines I was talking about. ... show more

The colors are vibrant with lots of shimmer. Haven't run into any clogging issues while coloring. Almost every single scent is strong and unique to it's advertised scent. It's very difficult to find 'scented' coloring supplies that actually deliver and these definitely do. I accidently ordered 2 sets when ordering for a birthday gift and wasn't sorry at all that I got to keep one for myself. ... show more

I really like the pens, but they came a day late (Along with my other packages) and the lid of the package was cracked. I understand this because the UPS truck was stolen and was involved in a high speed police chase, but I am a little bit disappointed. The pens smell amazing, but are a little rough when writing and you have to push down hard. I'm honestly not a big fan of pens, so of course I will be a bit critized about them, but all the pen lovers out there would really like this product! :) ... show more

Smell isnt too strong. Its nice that theyre all fruit smells. They write smooth. Colors are bright. The pens themselves feel smooth in my hand. I got the glitter ones and theres a decent amount of glitter in the ink.
