I was not going to comment on this product but this was the second request so here you go. The good The finish appears to be powder coated and fairly durable. Even after straightening several pieces it did not flake off. It has stainless fasteners The bad Be ready to straighten several louvers. We had one side beam with a fairly big dent in it as well. The instructions contain errors. The main structure goes together easy and really quick but the louvers are an absolute nightmare and very time consuming. The inserts that the louvers pivot on is a rubber grommet, probably will not last long ,may have to replace at some point with a delrin insert. The linkage that ties the gearbox to the louvers has an aluminum rivet that was pulled out on one of the three the linkages the second one broke loose before assembly. Easy to repair but annoying. Either the screws are oversize or the aluminum extrusion is too small. The screws break the heads off because of this. I lubricated the screws and this helped but still broke four and not from bottoming out or over tightening they break before the are seated. Way too tight! Not normally a big deal but drilling a stainless screw out of this aluminum extrusion is not feasible and screw extraction not really possible. I can’t imagine many home owners have a tig welder to weld the assembly after the screw breaks off. Did not use the cheap concrete anchors that came with it either. The instructions say to mark holes, move the whole main structure, drill holes, pop in plastic inserts, move back in place, inset screws and tighten. Lol All in all it went together and functions. Assembled it looks pretty good but I would definitely not recommend or purchase again. ... show more

This product looks great and works well. It took us a few days to assemble but we are very happy with the results. During installation we discovered we needed different screws for one of the steps. I'm really happy with the pergola. I've had it up for about 2 months now and no issues. I looks nice and I loved the louvered blinds on the top. I was missing a part and the customer service was so good - they shipped me the replacement right away. Also, I live in Los Angeles and the pergola arrived so fast - definitely much quicker than I thought. I hired someone to install it so I don't know how easy it is to do that part. ... show more
