Got this for a trip to DC for a teenager with mobility issues but who can walk for short distances. The good... This chair is well built, light weight and stored easily in a Southwest plane carry-on bin. It pushes easily indoors on smooth surfaces and folds up easily. It's great for this purpose. The bad..... The chair positions the occupant very upright and the center of gravity is high with larger riders. It will absolutely dump larger riders ( mine was 155 lbs) on their face if you hit a modest crack or bump. It doesn't do well on uneven surfaces. If you will be indoors or you can be VERY careful with limited outdoor use, it's great. If you will be outside where you may encounter sidewalks with cracks or uneven surfaces, consider a chair with larger wheels. It is a definite safety issue. You have to be very careful, keep a close eye on the ground and raise the front wheels when you see rough surfaces.

This foldable wheelchair is great. We were impressed with the large rear wheels to easily cross obstacles and more stable on bumpy ground. The seat is wider and higher than old wheelchairs we had and it is more comfortable. It's light enough that my senior citizen mom can carry and open it no problem. She likes the pull out handle that's similar to a wheeled suitcase handle for easy transporting while collapsed. Nice unit!

i just came back from 30 days from Asia ( Korea and Japan) with pushing my wife who weight 150lbs. As you know in Asia most roads are not smooth but this chair held up, list are some suggestions below. 1) when folded up its very compact (able to carry it on airplane and stowed it inside the above bin) but there is no way of locking it in the folded position so i had to make up a hook with a rope so that when i took it on the bus or train it stayed folded. 2) The front time could be bigger to absorb the uneven pavers that are so common. 3) The wheel material could be of higher quality although it did not break during my trip. 4) where the wheels connect a bushing should have been inserted so that when i had to tighten the bolt it would not crush the aluminum tubing. over all, my family was impressed with it.

A little tricky to fold up. The wheels tend to collapse inward and the must be out in order to fold chair completely. At only 16 pounds, the weight is SO manageable for me, female and 5'1". I wish I had bought it from the beginning bc I now have scratches in the door frame of my new-ish car from the original transport I bought. It is handy for transporting husband to daycare and appointments, but uncomfortable for longer distances like parking garage to offices across a street. The back bar hits spine. I plan to place a towel over it next time. Otherwise it's great and the rotating arm rests make it easy to settle him in before securing them. Taller caregivers may find the handlebar a little low, I find myself hunching over the handlebar and I'm short, but the other chairs seem to be about 34" high at the handlebar also. Definitely won't replace a regular wheelchair/transport chair when it comes to comfort for patient and caregiver. Update: I had to return the chair when I discovered the brakes aren't tight. When I park him on a slope the chair starts traveling downward. Even on a flat surface, the chair can travel a little. Very unsafe on a sloping driveway or curb.

I purchased this very lightweight transport wheelchair for my 81 year old mother. The previous chair was VERY heavy and uncomfortable. I saw the transport wheelchair on Amazon and decided to try it. I’m so glad I did!!! It’s SUPER light , glides effortlessly, has a super thick comfortable cushion seat. It was very easy to assemble. My mom absolutely loves it. I am 63 years old and I’m able to easily fold and lift it into my car. I must say, it is a narrow chair. My mom is 5’2” and weighs 130 lbs. This chair would not accommodate a large wide person with the armrests in the down position.

I ordered this for my 85 year old mother to take on a European vacation. It fits her well, is easy to push, and seems sturdy. It folds fairly easily, but is a bit difficult to get in the bag. Overall, good quality portable wheelchair.
