  • Good Product But Not so Easy to Install
Style: Manual Strap Lock Retractable
Pretty good product so far. I've been using it for about a month or so The tonneau cover operates pretty smooth. Not so easy to assemble. The instruction provided have different parts listed/diagramed than what was included with the package. When installing, you have to use your common sense in some of the area. There are plenty of youtube videos on the installation ... show more

  • Better than more expensive options....
Style: Manual Strap Lock Retractable
I have retrax covers on my other trucks, and they have been solid. I couldn't find a retrax cover that I liked for my jt, and stumbled across this one. I was pleasantly surprised with this. The instructions could definitely use some work, but I was able to install it in about 2 hours by myself. The quality of the the fit and finish is great. It's low profile and sleek, with no visible handles or latches. They even include covers for the screws and clamps (retrax doesn't do this, so rusty looking screws are what you get after a few months). My only gripe with this cover is it doesn't lock in any position I want. It seems to have preset notches for it to lock in. I'm definitely going to be looking into this brand in the future, for my next truck. The Retrax is overpriced for the quality and finish. This one blows Retrax away (imo). ... show more

  • Need 2 people
Style: Manual Strap Lock Retractable
Instructions aren’t the best with no real illustrations to see what they are trying to say. But the cover seems to be well made and definitely takes two people to put on the truck. And set up prior. They don’t say anything about the front drains until after and they need to be installed on the canister prior to installation in final position. Doesn’t leak and I really like the cover. ... show more

  • Looks and works great on my 2025 Jeep Gladiator!
Style: Manual Strap Lock Retractable
Looks and works great on my 2025 Jeep Gladiator! It arrived on time and was well packaged to prevent shipping damage. It was very easy to install for me having had over 50 years mechanical maintenance experience. It does need two people to lift up on the box without damaging either one. I do believe it will keep water from entering from the top, but, that has yet to be tested. All in all I’m very impressed with the fit and finish! ... show more

Style: Manual Strap Lock Retractable
Product was packaged well and seems to be high quality. Unfortunately the pros end there. Drain tubes were missing. Seller was slow to respond and slow played the resolution. I asked 5X to have the missing parts shipped. Email responses were slow and after 2 weeks the parts still have not shipped. AVOID! ... show more

  • No instructions
Style: Manual Strap Lock Retractable
Yeah, I just bought this cover for my new gladiator, but it came with no instructions! I can’t find the instructions online to download, trying to decide whether I’m gonna send it back or not, and the drainage tubs are too big for the back of my gladiator

  • It's a really nice tonneau.
Style: Manual Strap Lock Retractable
I wanted to give this 5 stars, it's very good, but there are a couple things holding it back from being "perfect'. You can see from the photo, it looks great installed, probably even better in person. It operates smoothly, the tailgate closes tight against it, and it has two t-track slots on top for mounting crossbars/bed racks/ladder racks. That is a lot of positives. My specific use case was to have secure storage (for camping gear) under a rooftop tent without exceeding the cab height (to maintain some semblance of aerodynamics/fuel economy). The t-track slots on top of the cover allow for that. What isn't great: The "open space" when the cover is open/tailgate closed is 47" wide, 45.75" long. Under the cover, the space is about 17" high, 50" long in front of the canister, with about 9" of full bed length under the canister (maybe a little less depending on if you use the drain tubes or not). This is probably just how retractable covers are.. they consume a lot of space. In the product photos the tonneau doesn't have a badge on it, you can see from my photo, it does. I hate aftermarket accessories that have a big ol brand on it, like.. I'm not getting sponsored by this company, I don't want your badges and stickers and gunk all over my truck. Not seeing badges on the product photos was a big selling point for me, so this was a disappointment. As I said, the outside parts of the tonneau generally look fantastic... however, there are six screws on the cover plate near the cab.. those screws have plastic caps over them, and recesses that those caps sink into so they're flush... but, the way the screws line up don't let the caps clip in properly... so, a couple of them aren't able to seat fully. I'm expecting to lose those caps. I'll probably have to find some "pretty" bolts to replace the screws and abandon the plastic caps. The canister where the tonneau rolls into is almost comically awful. It's made of thin sheet metal covered with a black film that's tattered on the edges.. it's almost like that blue film on new metal to protect it from getting scratched during shipping, but it's black. It's pretty bad. You don't really see it most of the time so I can't get too nasty about it, but... I'll probably end up pulling that film off and spraying it with plasti-dip or bedliner. Assembly was a giant chore... and, if you aren't careful, the product will EASILY scratch itself ... there is some shipping foam inside the roll mechanism and if you remove it (as one does while unpacking) it will immediately scratch the crap out of the top of the cover... Before you remove that foam block inside the canister, you have to have this thing ready to put together, pull the cover out a ways and keep it from retracting while assembling it. If you let it rest on the canister to prevent it from rolling back up, that should work, but if you bump it while installing and aren't keeping tension on it, it will retract again and, you guessed it, scratch the crap out of itself again. Ask me how I know. It's basically a two person job unless you want to roll the dice. There are two sets of mounting brackets.. one that clamps onto the top of the bed and another that bolts into the utility rails/trail rails. The clamp brackets have nice black plastic covers, the brackets that use the utility rails do not. The utility rail brackets are also really annoying to install. It's several disjointed pieces that don't stay where they should until the bracket is tightened up, but, you can't tighten it up until the cover is aligned properly, so you have to put them in place and let it just hang loose all disjointed then try to hold it all together and tighten it up without moving the cover... it's just a real kick in the kidney to deal with it... if it was just a single piece with a T-nut that was twice as thick so the bolt can actually reach it, it would have been 1000% easier. If this theoretical bracket were powder coated black, the lack of plastic cover wouldn't be a big deal. As it stands, it's fiddly and ugly... and I really need to be able to occasionally pull the cover off to do "truck stuff" so this is going to be a thorn in my side moving forward. I may have to just fabricate my own brackets.. these are functional, but otherwise awful. The "light" on the underside of the cover is kind of a joke and the gladiator already has plenty of cargo lighting, so... pretty useless.. and it uses button batteries... you will never use it and forget it's there. Anyway... even with the negatives, I still think it's a solid 4 stars. It looks and operates a lot nicer than most tonneau covers out there, especially for the price. Most tri-folds have a janky latch thing to open them up, most roll-ups have a velcro strip along the sides (I can't imagine how annoying the velcro rip sounds would be operating that regularly). The few covers out there that don't suffer those faults are much more expensive than this one. ... show more
