First the light is very solid. The base I was impressed with how heavy it actually was. It was easy to assemble. The frame of the lamp is a nice metal in the shade was made of glass. This is important to note because it does make it quite fragile, but was impressed by the quality. The light turns off and on by pressing on the button on the floor as you can see in the photos. Unfortunately the color the light emits is very dull and made the room that it is in not bright enough. Hopefully this was only due to the provided lightbulb, and that with changing to a slightly brighter bulb, I will get the desired feel in my room. Overall, this lamp has a modern sleek design. The price is comparable to other lamps of this style. I would recommend, but with a few reservations definitely needs a different light on and if you have children or pets that might get near your lamp important to keep it in a spot they cannot access as the shade is glass and the lamp overall is quite heavy.

It's a very cool looking and attractive lamp to have in your home but because of the dark coating on the bulb, it doesn't add much light to your room at all. You could swap in a different bulb that would produce more light but the bulb is 3/4 of the aesthetic you're buying, so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's the first time in my "buying stuff for the house" life that I bought a floor/pole lamp that was ACTUALLY VERTICAL without having to spin it around, move it all over the place believing that agent must have sold me a lop-sided house, folding up pieces cardboard to stick under the edge of the base... you know the routine. Plus, it was probably the least expensive lamp I ever bought. Note I said "least expensive", not "cheap". Least expensive = bargain. Cheap = crummy.

It looks really cool when lit up—only giving 4 stars because it was a little shorter than I was expecting and the cord isn’t very long so it needs to be close to an outlet (which is kind of limiting space-wise).
