I have never had a larger (5 X 7) size rug that is so soft and so thin. I feel like I should never walk on this rug without removing my shoes, like it might easily become soiled, and though it sounds like it will wash well in the machine, I'm not really anxious to deal with a rug of this size in the machine. I guess I'll update this review when I get to that point. The rug came folded , and most of the folds disappeared overnight, but there are still a few places where it does not lie flat, most noticeable in the center. But I'm sure given a bit of time the folds will go away. The corners are all lying flat. So, it's soft and thin, there is no fraying on the edges - the stitching is well done. It's very lightweight , so moving it is easily accomplished alone. There is a rubber backing which does a good job of holding it in place , except when my 30 lb terrier dashes across it to her food bowl in the kitchen. (Few rugs can compete with this dog though). The pattern is very modern, muted shades of white , grey , and blue. Very attractive. At present it is in my living room, but I plan to move it to a bedroom which is less-trafficked. I do like this rug , but I think it will survive longer in the bedroom. ... show more

My mother is having a procedure done in a few days and she'll be staying with me afterwards while she recoups. I'm in the process of updating my house. When we decided she should come here for a couple weeks after the procedure, I decided to include this spare room with my updates (I was actually going to push it off for a while). I will have 2 rugs in the spare room that my mother will be staying in. One rug will go under her rocking chair and the other will be in the middle of the floor. This rug will be under the rocking chair. I love how soft these rugs are. They are low pile but probably the softest rugs I've ever had. My mother came over for a visit yesterday and I had her walk barefoot on this rug. She usually never walks barefoot because she doesn't like cold floors so she wears slippers but when she felt this rug, she was amazing at how soft it was. The rug is lightweight, yet stays in place thanks to the rubber backing. This is important because my mother is 79 years old and I can't have anything that will pose as a tripping hazard. The stitching around the perimeter is tight with no fraying. The rug can be washed in the washing machine which is something that is needed in this house due to the 8 rescue pets I have plus the kittens that we rescued and temporarily foster. (I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 parrots & a rabbit) My mother has a dog too that will be here with my mom while she recovers. Since I don't think my mother takes this dog out every couple of hours at home, it's possible she uses the floor as a potty. Trust me, I'm not looking forward to what I might have to clean up when all is said & done, but the fact that I can wash this in a washer is a little comforting. I chose the rug that would fit into my design scheme. My house is an industrial/rustic farmhouse with pops of Boho here and there. Although this rug is a little busy, the colors fit into my design and the fact that my mother loves blue will bring her comfort while she's recovering. All in all, this is the perfect rug and I'm so happy I ordered it. I highly recommend it to others. Beautiful rug, awesome price. Score. ... show more

Great size for our bedroom. The color is predominantly off white with bits of gold and almost a teal color. It’s a good rug for the money, for sure. Last thing: I really like the little bit of rubber grip the rug has so it won’t shift around on the hard wood floor.

Pros: Very soft and comfortable. The textured back side of the rug grips nicely. Glad that it is washable. Will update when it is washed. Cat approved. The "weathered" look (white non printed lines interrupting the pattern) of some of the product options is not for me, so I went with "Blue Mixed" color pattern; it has less of that effect. Comes folded, so you will have to flatten it some. Update: It flattened out nicely. Cons: Not quite exactly 4x6', expect it to be short by 0.25-0.5" even when flattened. The pattern is printed, so don't expect it to be perfectly centered on the rug itself - not a big deal unless you are highly particular about that (2nd pic). Overall, these are not huge concerns. What we have here is a polyester carpet with very short piles, almost like a tapestry. It arrived boxed like a set of sheets of a blanket with no damage or dirt/dust/etc. Once you take it out and lay on the floor, you'll notice the crease lines, but after a few days of walking on it (or with the help of a vacuum) those lines will go away. The backing is similar to other rugs and has stayed in place on my hardwood floor without using a carpet pad or non-slip tape. This is not an expensive carpet, but it doesn't claim to be one either. It brings some warmth and positive energy to the room it's placed in. The design I selected is very light and uses a lot of bright colors. It also doesn't get rolled up under my office chair as I'm moving. Although the product specifications claim it's washable, I wouldn't put this in a washer and instead would take it outside to hose it if necessary. If you're looking for something that's not heavy and have no expectations of receiving an heirloom carpet, this will be a good option to cheer up a room. ... show more
