  • Professional and pleasing
Pattern: Single Item
Sure there are better lenses but there’s also worse. Image quality 7.5 out of 10 but the focus quickness and accuracy make up for it. Very professional build and it’s a joy to shoot as it’s lightweight and rather inconspicuous in size. Love the smooth bokeh and colors are delightful. Sharpness is very good but I think sharpness is overrated IMO would rather quality photos than photo quality. This versatile focal length is one of my favorites, can shoot with all day. So overall this is an excellent buy because of the utility, convenience and professional results. Very pleasing lens to work with. ... show more

  • Great for street photography. Great for street photography.
Pattern: Single Item
Small wonder. Carries and balance perfect with my OM1. Bought it for a recent trip which required large aperture and a field of view useful in small spaces. I brought this lens, Olympus 75 mm 1.8 and a 9 mm Lu mix 1.7. This lens was attached to the camera 80% of the time. Great results and I am happy with the acquisition. ... show more

  • A Very Enjoyable Lens
Pattern: Single Item
A very enjoyable lens. I really like how the 20mm (40mm full frame equivalent) is very close to how my eyes perceive the world around me. This lens with f1.4 has beautiful bokeh. All metal construction. Feels very solid. If I just want a general walk-around prime, this is what I choose. Not the smallest in the OM lineup but not the largest either. Feels nice on my OM-1. ... show more

  • Impressive glass.
Pattern: Single Item
Sharp even at f/1.4 in the center. Metal construction gives it a quality feel. Fast autofocus on my E-M5 III. No optical stabilization but most Micro Four Thirds bodies, including my E-M5 III, have IBIS. It's a bit spendy for what it is, but at the same time...this is most definitely a quality lens. Looks and feels pro level. ... show more

  • Excellent fast lens for low light photography.
Pattern: Single Item
Bought the lens to use indoors. Looking for a lens that could handle low light environments for both video and photos. This lens was an excellent choice for the price I paid. This lens came from Amazon Europe and was priced considerably lower than the manufactured retail. It was an unopened boxed up lens from Olympus and had no issues with the warranty signup. Image quality was sharp and autofocus is excellent. The manual focus was great using an Olympus OM-D Mark III. Have not had an opportunity yet to capture many videos. Very happy with the purchase for I was reviewing the Olympus 17mm and 25mm f1.8 lens. This lens fell in between these two focal ranges with a faster f1.4 capability. I'm glad I purchased it when I did. ... show more

  • This lens is incredibly sharp.
Pattern: Single Item
This lens is incredibly sharp and the colors are amazing, I got it to replace the 17mm F1.8 and the 25mm F1.8, these lenses are very charp too, but when compared to the 20mm F1 4 pro, they produce a armer reddish coloring while the 20mm produces a more blueish coloring which I find more pleasant and realistic. On terms of composition, I believe I can replace the 17mm with the 20mm, but I'm not that sure about replacing the 25mm since I kind of like the 25mm compression better on certain photos. My conclusion on this matter is: I can use the 20mm in about 80% of the 17mm shots, and about 40% of the 25mm shots. I also want to point out, that this lens is very small and light, in my case I don't mind it not having a manual focus clutch, since I rely on my EM5 Mk III autofocus most of the time. ... show more

  • A terrific, light and very capable prime
Pattern: Single Item
If the idea of one lens, one camera tickles your fancy, this is the lens for Micro Four Thirds. CA issues are over discussed among online reviewers with beloved lenses from other brands (ahem…Lxxxx) having far worse fringing. Weather resistance makes this lens a great four season choice.
