A professional team, consisting of HVAC, electrician, and drywall contractors, collaborated to install the unit in an attic room lacking ventilation. Although there were additional expenses for a longer cord due to the provided short tubing, the unit is now functioning well. The electrician also installed a dedicated power source, which incurred extra costs. Worked well for a while, but eventually stopped blowing cold air. Had a repair man come and he found that there was a hole in the outdoor unit which meant all the refrigerant leaked out. The repairs were more than the unit itself. DO NOT BUY.

I purchased this, mainly for the price I usually use Senville, but this came up at more than $100 less than the 9000 BTU Senville that I purchased for my rental. I’m using it in a 11 x 12 bedroom. The unit is so light you can install it by yourself no problem easy install I just had to pay for the HVAC guy to hook up the lines so I can get the warranty but then I found out that you don’t need the HVAC guy to do it because It’s in California I could’ve saved $500 on the condenser install and did it myself for a change but at 12 worth it to make sure it’s working properly if you have a pro cut flare and vacuum the lines because the equipment that it takes to vacuum the lines and check the charge is very important stage and they install that I don’t like to deal with maybe down the road ... show more
