After shopping around, we opted to get this unit as our new fridge did not have a built in icemaker. Very easy to set up, clear instructions on how to use and clean (automated or otherwise). It cranks out ice cubes surprisingly fast (large or small) and a good amount for it's size. It makes a soft hum when working/cleaning and of course the ice dropping into the tray (that being the noisiest part of the machine). Perfect size for a countertop

Do not buy this ice maker. Have had it for only 1 months and it has stopped making ice . I have tried everything to get this thing to work. I have even reached out to the company that makes it with no reply because there website link that Amazon sent me does not work. I am now out 51.00 thanks to this. This has to be the worst ice maker ever made with the quality of it. If I had to guess I'm guessing a according to the instruction book it came with the infrared sencer on it has broken.

Love the machine! Can make small and large size ice. It notifies when it needs more water or when the ice basket is full. You can also do a self clean. Great product! Definitely recommend.

For the price, I could recommend this ice maker. For the positives: The ice maker produces the ice very quickly, the ice is already in separate pieces, the basket offers the ability to have ice always ready to grab, there is some mechanism to detect when the ice basket is overflowing leading to ice making halting until the basket empties, great use is made of the limited space making its small size a potential postive, and refilling is as easy as pouring water into the basket. For the negatives: The ice is cloudy, the unit's fan is very loud, the basket area is not well insulated leading to the ice eventually melting and being remade quite often (sometimes leading to the ice sticking together), the water basin seems to need refilling daily, and there is no built-in slot / tray to hold the ice scooper. Running a meter, I measured roughly 1KW of power draw every 2 days where the unit draws 300-400W while making ice, and less than 5W idling. This includes letting ice sit in the tray leading to standby / reduced power mode; of course I also used the ice leading to the unit making more. The best use case I see would be for college students living in dormatories and households of 2 or less with frustrating access to ice, but I stand by the 4 stars as it's simply a good budget ice maker for those who want ice but need to run out to buy / grab some every time.

The lid you open to scoop out the ice was broke. The little plastic tab on the right side of the lid as you look at the machine was broke off the lid. The little tab was broken off the lid and is stuck in the little hole where the lid is suppose pivot to open. The ice machine works great, just very disappointed that I have a broken lid!!! If the lid would not have been broken I would have given this product 5 stars!!
