I’ve actually had a lot of fun using this little heat press. I picked up a bunch of vinyl scraps from a sign company that was going out of business, so it’s been perfect for just experimenting and messing around with small projects. For the price, it’s honestly hard to complain too much. It’s basically like using a really large iron, but with temperature controls and a flat pressing surface that makes it much easier to work with vinyl transfers. The LCD screen and controls are relatively straightforward, so getting it set to the temperature you want doesn’t take much effort... in theory. It heats up fairly quickly and the handle makes it easy enough to hold onto comfortably while you’re pressing. The size is perfect, too. It’s big enough to handle smaller designs without feeling cramped, but it’s still compact enough it doesn’t take up much room when you store it away. I like that it comes with the pressing mat as well since that makes it easy to just set everything up and start working straight from the box without having to hunt down extra supplies that didn't come with. The one issue I’ve run into is the temperature. I’m not totally convinced the temperatures are as accurate as the display suggests. Either they’re running a bit lower than what’s shown, or the top end just doesn’t quite get as hot as it claims. I’ve had a couple situations where vinyl didn’t want to adhere properly until I cranked the temperature higher than I normally would. Once you figure that out, it works well enough. You just kind of learn where the sweet spot is and adjust from there. For someone who’s doing smaller DIY projects, experimenting with vinyl, or making the occasional shirt or tote bag, it’s a pretty fun little tool to have around without a huge investment. For the price especially (currently under $70 because of a 30% off discount), it’s been a great way to play around and see what you can make without investing in a much larger, more expensive press.

Says it goes up to 450 but wouldn’t heat higher than 392. I pressed something twice for 30 seconds and the vinyl still wouldn’t stick. Not very happy.

The Curvy oval shape of this heat press stands out from other normal square ones, although it also limits the reach for square prints. The build quality is pretty good; it may not be able to handle falls, but when you hold it, it feels pretty solid. The top does have temperature and timer control buttons so that you can set it for the fabric and the type of printing you are using it for. The bottom is flat, hence it applies correct and same pressure on all areas it covers. It does come with a sponge matte, which is very useful when you want to do a quick press. It is small and portable, hence you can not consider this for professional full t-shirt prints, but it is great for pocket prints or small back prints.

I picked this up for my fiancé to use on her custom t-shirt projects, and it definitely beats using a standard clothes iron. There was zero assembly required since it's ready to go right out of the box, and the LCD controls are pretty intuitive for setting the temp. It hits the heat settings accurately, though I noticed it takes a bit longer to reach 400°F than the manual suggests. It’s perfect for standard vinyl transfers, but you do need to be mindful of applying even pressure across the whole plate to avoid cold spots.

Review of the OLIXIS Heat Press Machine for T Shirts, Portable Easy Press Heat Machine. This is my first heat press for making T-shirts, so take my review with that in mind. The box comes with the press machine (sort of like a really large iron), a holder for the press machine, minimal directions and a pad to use when using the press machine. Thoughts: - It seems well made, solid, not junk - It is easy to use. Just turn it on, set the temperature, put the press over the decal and I needed to continue pressing. - The press is close to rectangle in shape, I found that I needed to be careful around the edges/corners as they might miss part of the decal. - It wasn't big enough to cover the entire decal and I had to press (hold for 15 seconds), move and repeat. My experience. I used it to press on two different decals on t-shirts. I set the press to the suggested temperature according to the directions that came with the decal. The first decal did not take well. I turned up the temperature of the press past the suggested temp (suggested by the decal directions) and then it worked. I also had to press it multiple times to get the decal to hold correctly.
