Be aware that this product is a replacement cover for an existing pergola and does not include any hardware at all. It is a reasonably good polyethylene UV resistant sun protective fabric in a 10' x 13' size, but the stitching and seams are not as good quality as other similar products I have inspected, and the elastic loops intended for securing the poles through the canopy strike me as a point of rapid failure for the product. You will need to purchase some sort of mounting hardware kit to install this canopy. The seller makes such a kit, including a full pergola. (The mounting tracks on the overhead pergola slats work somewhat akin to tracks for a sliding barn door.) I will use this shade sail to shade a small back deck on my home, and the ability to extend or retract the canopy like a "Roman shade" (with my own "jerry-rigged" system...) will be useful in that location. I do feel that the product is a bit overpriced for its quality and lack of any hardware at all. ... show more

We ended up using this along our fenceline, not a pergola... but it is doing the job of privacy just fine. The material is not nearly as heavy as some of it's more expensive family but I would say it's fair to good quality. I'm not confident the grommets will hold in high wind but we shall see. Yep, when I ordered this I was totally expecting the canopy AND a frame. Not as elaborate as the one offered, but a frame. Of course I only got the canopy sheet and now they have made sure to very much clarify the item I ordered was "Canopy Only." Glad that's cleared up for future purchasers. The canopy itself is decent enough. It's a really good size being 10'x13' and it's pretty good quality. This is going to end up being installed on the kids' playground now as I don't have a frame for it. It looks fine and again is a good quality poly canopy sheet. This is a good quality retractable shade and is made from good quality materials. The only issue I have was with the hardware included. It is not as sturdy as I would have hoped for. I had to go out and purchase higher quality hardware before installing. Still, not a bad product overall.

It’s a very clean look! Good thickness and nothing coming off the trees above seem to cause any damage. Fit well over our pergola and our weight rods fit right in and held well. The only negative is one of the securing loops broke pretty easily. Not a huge deal and was able to fix it. Just be sure not to put too much stress on them during installation. ... show more
