Bought this mattress November of 2023, wanted to give it some time to give a fair evaluation. Quality seems great, no odor when unpacked (a problem with some beds I am told). The coil spring base is firm and supports my wife and I very well, the foam and gel components on top make this very comfortable so the bed does not feel "hard" even if it is firm. Time will tell if the box springs will sag, for now I could not be happier, and the price is incredible. Stitching, construction, etc. all see first rate. The one issue to consider, a hybrid bed will not have the firm edges of a regular coil spring mattress, so if you typically sit on the edge of the bed (to put shoes on or ???), or if you role to the very edge of the bed, the foam and gel layers will not support you the way a firm coil spring would, so you may end up on your butt or role off the side. That is not a negative, just something to consider, especially if you like to sleep on the very edge of the bed. For everyone else, read the features, this mattress has everything a high end hybrid does at a fraction of the cost. ... show more

I will update this after 3 months, 6 months and a year. I am 5'10 and weigh 335 lbs. We removed the mattress from it's shipping box and rolled the well packed item to the bedroom. Absolutely no chemical smells at all. Using a traditional oak bed frame and box spring we put it on it and opened the package. Easily done, it gently sprang to life. It was 11 1/2" deep and after 6 hrs. of rest opened to 12 1/2". As I had no real choice I had to use it for the night. OMG so soft, but firm. I have sciatica so I was hoping this would help. After a week I can truthfully say I'm no worse and have spent every night in comfort. The only complaint I have is the mattress doesn't really have a firm "edge" to sit on, I have to kind of roll into the middle. Looking at it each morning and measuring I find it springs back to it's original shape. Perhaps at a later date it might not considering my excess weight, but we shall see. I haven't noticed any "overheating" either because of the material. So far its been money well spent for a wonderful, comfortable nights rest. I have been through two $1000 mattresses in 5 years, so this is a bargain if I only buy a few of these. Don't be afraid of the horror stories about unwrapping and setting up, the package arrived UPS in good condition. See you later.****UPDATE-3 MONTHS**** A solid 12" all around, still firm like I need it. No noticeable smell from day 1 or now. No lumps developing on it either. We reverse the mattress every 30 days and all is, as it was the first week. With my weight is the "real" test. Still comfortable and keeps me happy. See you at the end of 6 months.****UPDATE 6 MONTHS**** Everything still great. No complaints, still 12"+ and no bumps or lumps. ****UPDATE 9 MONTHS****Still 12", no lumps or bumps, enjoying a restful sleep. I do rotate it once a month as a precaution. See you at the end of 12 months****UPDATE 1 YEAR****All is well, still going strong, very pleased. I'll buy again if this EVER wears out !!!***** UPDATE 15 Months*****All is well, still going strong.*****UPDATE 18 Months*****Still retains its original features, money well spent.*****UPDATE 2 YEARS, 2 MONTHS*****Still comfortable, now weigh 350 lb. Reading all the reviews, they are all over the place. I am thinking that maybe people are ending up with different mattress that just have the same coverings? Or maybe different mattress sizes are being reviewed differently? Anyway here is my experience with a FULL mattress. This is the 4th bed in a box mattress I have purchased over the last 7 years for both myself and my kids. I'm 5'10" and 235 so "dense" would be a good word. I have several herniated discs, bad shoulders and hips. A soft bed is agony. I'm a back and side sleeper. DAY 1 - Arrived no issues, securely packaged. Inflates within 1 hour to 11.5 inches approx, nowhere near 13 inches. Other than that no apparent issues. Only the faintest odor compared to previous mattresses I have purchased. NITE 1- Was going to let it expand and out-gas for a full day but it seemed perfectly ready to go within only a few hours so I swapped it out with my existing. I find it pleasantly "firm" with about 2 inches of soft give on the top. Meaning if I push my hand into it, my hand easily goes in about 2 inches, typical memory foam feel, then hits strong resistance. If I kneel or stand on it, I can clearly feel the springs compacting and I sink in about 4 inches. Laying on back is great. Laying on side my hips don't sink in as much as I'd like but I bet it loosens up over time. Overall it is really comfortable, just what I wanted. Seems to be pretty well made. I can't tell top end expensive from low end, only crap from well done and this seems pretty good. Day 1. Morning 1 - I slept really well. Really comfortable. Still woke up stiff and sore but I think this was not so much from the mattress, just how I always wake up. I bet this gets better. ONE BIG ISSUE though. There is zero edge support. Literally none. If sit on the edge the edge squishes all the way down flat and I bottom out. Well maybe within 2 inches of literally bottoming out. But the effect is that as you swing your legs out of bed and start to roll out, the side gives way and you literally flop out of bed. That is so weird because if I sit 6" back from the edge, no problems. Still firm. I guess the springs don't go all the way to the edge? Remember I have a FULL. Queen, King may be different. So aside from having to be careful when exiting my bed, I'm not dissatisfied in the least because I wanted a decent cheap firm mattress and I got it. I'll post updates periodically. I'm planning to get a high end mattress in a year or two so as long as this ~ 200 mattress holds up that long, it's a win. Morning 3 - Still hasn't inflated to 13". It is maybe barely 12". Not a big deal. I find that once the foam top gets squished down by my body, it is quite firm. No trouble getting to sleep and not waking up in the night with pain as I did with my previous mattress. Still waking up stiff and sore though. Again, different than my previous mattress though, this is more like stiff and sore if I were to sleep on the floor. LOL. I may add a mattress topper to make it just a little softer. ... show more
