    • Does the job, but there are some things to consider here
So this is my second of this kind of bed, so I obviously like it enough to buy it again. My first was a regular king and I had it a little over two years. I only got rid of it because I moved halfway across the country. This bed is comfy, but I would not suggest it for couples or someone heavier. I am normal height and weight for reference. After laying on this bed for two weeks in the same spot, if I go lay on the other side of the bed it is MUCH more firm. Thankfully I can spin the bed around and this solves the problem. But this happens very frequently. A pain in the ??? Yes, but this is my second one and I knew that going in. For the price I’m okay with it. Is it a good value for someone who lives alone or doesn’t share a bed all the time? Absolutely. Would I put this in my guest room? Definitely. This bed has its purpose and for me it fills those. Definitely wouldn’t purchase it if I was sharing my bed because I don’t want to know how much it would sink in if I had to lay in the same spot every single night months on end. And just a helpful note, not docking any stars here.... When buying my current bed, the California king was $100 less than the king so I thought why not? Well folks, don’t make that mistake unless you truly need a cal king bed (like if you are exceptionally tall). You will find it nearly impossible to find sheets/bedding in any store. I looked in bed bath and beyond, home goods, Walmart, Target, Macy’s, belk, Kohl’s, etc. None of them carry king size bedding in their stores in my large metropolitan area. Sometimes they may have a returned set that someone bought online but that’s it. They also are more expensive in cal king sizes so the money I “saved” buying this size bed went right out the window when looking for bedding and a mattress protector. I personally like to be able to see and feel (especially sheets) before I buy things so if that’s not an issue for you with bedding, take your chances. Of course, you can always return the items to your local retailer if you have one close, but then you are again looking for bedding at square one. ... show more

2 days, so far this mattress is 7" , I will update if it ever expands. Their ad shows a layered bed that I believe was stolen from someone else or their materials have changed. This in not the first memory foam bed I have purchased. 2 years ago and 5 years ago I purchased two memory foam beds that showed the layers that they show. One is a 9" mattress & one is a 10" mattress. They are wonderful mattresses and they actually are 9" & 10" as stated, but the companies were different, they are however the same mattress. I purchased the 9" because it was softer, but my husband likes the 10" and has slept on it consistently for 2 years. So I'm wondering if I made a huge mistake! I wonder how I can return it if this one never expands! Will post update in another 2 days. Check the dimensions this in NOT Cal King it's off! Update 8/13/20: Amazon is making me send it back in the time that I've had it it has actually shrunk down in length to where it fits into the California King frame that I have! What is happening with this mattress?! It's actually thinner than it was at first and is more deflated. Uncomfortable and unsupportive, I have 2 twin beds purchased from other retailers that showed the same layers as this bed. I mean the exact same picture is used, but this is not the same bed at all. I still have those in my guest room and they are great, one is 10" and one 9" which is exactly how I ordered them and they are very comfortable. I have had them for 2 and 5 years. My husband loves the 10" and has slept on it regularly for 2 years, it's still 10" and like brand new. (maybe just a tad softer than when purchased). So okay Amazon I'll send this one back and I'm going to compress it come heck or high water which shouldn't really be too hard as thin as it is and get it into a box so that the retailer will have to figure out how to dispose of it and pay the shipping back. No arguments. Just the thought of you getting it back will make me happy! Update 9/12/2020 I decided it was better to send back than try to dispose of it myself. I used the Cresnel Mattress Bag and Scotch Packing Tape 3 rolls! So I read the reviews on this bag and it worked perfectly. Duct taped a hole for the vacuum hose, we used a carpet cleaner suction hose, stronger than the vacuum. I walked on it while husband suctioned out the air folded in half, walked on it some more and then started to roll up the mattress leaving it still on. We taped around the whole thing numerous times and put it back in the original box! UPS was very impressed as well. I was concerned that the Cresnel Mattress Bag would fail but it was perfect it's a reasonably thick bag. ... show more

I was very hesitant about buying a mattress online I couldn’t try out. I spent months looking up different ones and deals. Came across this one and read the reviews. I have a lot of hip and joint pain from surgeries and standing on my feet 60 hours a week. Once we got the mattress up stairs we took it out and unwrapped it. I made sure to pull the fabric up on the corners and really get it adjusted to expand. We let it sit for about 48 hours. It got to about 9inches but by 3-4 days it was fully expanded to 10 even with us sleeping on it. The first night I slept like a baby no pain or aches. I love not being able to feel my husband toss and turn at night. We got the Cali King and its perfect because we both like to sprawl out when we sleep. This mattress is so comfortable and I love it more than the last one I had that I spent $1200 on. Its truly worth it just make sure you give it time to expand. We added a mattress protector and pillowtop for extra care and comfort. I never want to leave my bed now. I would highly recommend this mattress and will probably get more when we need another bed in the house. ... show more
