I bought this as an "used item". The overall condition of the scooter is okay, but I was fine with that. One thing I am not fine at all, is the fact, that the scooter hasn't been unbind from the previous owner, I guess. The result is, I cannot linked the scooter to my phone, and/or to the app. Regarding at this scooter features, I miss the whole settings, because this only works with the app. So I called the Okai CS ASAP after I got the scooter. Good thing, they claimed to have a US support. The CS told me to email them with the VIN number of the scooter, which I did by Friday morning. Nothing happened before Monday morning. I've got an email saying they need my Amazon order number (they never mentioned this over the phone), which would saved us some time, if they would tell this at first, when I called. I replied, and mentioned the order date, and order number, first thing in the morning. Then I realized, I am dealing with China, and not US. Be aware, US support is indeed a false statement, if they cannot even help with something as basic as this. Waited another 24h! New email, came from Okai! Wait, they don't find my order now!!!! And asked me to emailed them a screenshot of the order! WTF! Emailed back already with this ^&%$*screenshot, and again, indeed, no answer. I've decided to call the support number, and try to speed up this thing, but they confirmed, they cannot do anything, because the support is in China. I am ready to return this, since my patient reached his limits.

This is a really good scooter. The tech on it is amazing, like the lights and the app. Build quality is superb other than the power button which rattles. One annoying thing is the acceleration is slow, the best way to describe it is like a car turbo where it doesn't really go fast but then it starts to move along. The range is not the advertised 18 miles but it's still ok.

After doing tons of research and ordering and returning many scooters, this is the one that had the best mix of all features, size, price, etc. I recommend the Neon Lite.

Once we got the scooter working, the second time we used it. The LEDs display screen was all fuzzy. No the port where you plug in the scooter won’t stay up. Additionally, the charger is broke

It's absolutely perfect for cities, or flat countryside. Front wheel drive. On mostly flat sidewalks at maximum speed with some stops, the base model can get somewhere around 8.5 miles with a 200lb person riding it. Great way to get to and from a distant bus stop, make a quick late night food run, or use to commute to work. It can cut across short flat grass lawn areas with relative ease if it has to. Best to slow down if the difference between sidewalk tiles is more than a half inch, and just walk it over the bump if it's more than an inch or so. The app is relatively intuitive to use, it shows all the necessary information about it, from charge level to locked status. In the settings you can lock or unlock it, control the color of the led on the front and how it flashes, whether or not to have a cruise control, whether or not the scooter can start without being moving first, update firmware, control speed units, control how fast it can go, turn the Headlight on or off, control the style of the scooters display screen, and name it. When the scooter is locked, it applies the e-brake to prevent someone riding off on it. It can still be easily carried off but it would be rather difficult for them to do anything useful with it in that condition. Top powered speed is 15 miles per hour, on a downhill it applies e-brake and physical brake somewhere around 18 miles per hour as a safety measure. That's REALLY well thought out, I love it. I would personally get a bike light meant for large handlebars (1.5 - 1.75 inch diameter) to add to it, the built in Headlight, while nice, isn't the brightest. When braking, the rear taillight flashes, otherwise it's a steady red. One quick click on the power button turns the Headlight on or off while the scooter is powered on. It can go up fairly decent hills at a walking speed (maybe 15-20 degrees), but that goes through battery reserves pretty fast.

Please write better instructions! This scooter is really great but for the price point I would think it would have much better written instructions. The English is horrible and hard to understand, and the rest is just left up to the user to figure out. Like how to set the light bar… how to air up the front tire without letting out all the air. But, my son is enjoying it! He’s 13 going on 17, so he’s careful with it. He’s been on scooters since he was 7. I got to take it for a spin and 15 mph definitely feels fast on a scooter. Wear helmets and padding!

I love this scooter, it's freaking awesome to me,a bit on the heavy side for me to try to pack around, but I love it, I know it came with an instruction manual,but I am the type of person that just jumps right into trying to do things without looking at all of the words,etc.,the scooter was easy to assemble without having to look at all of that,along with charging it,it came with sticker instructions on the speedometer on how to operate it, and the little blue card thing when I hold it up to the speedometer turns the scooter on and off,the scooter is well made,has really good acceleration to me and the speed settings are great,the scooter also has a bell feature and a safety speed feature that when you hit the top speed going downhill it slows you down,a great scooter to me.
