This really does smell good and it actually does cut drying time dramatically. However I bought it for the silk feel. I was attempting a silk press. This isn’t good for that. It dries your hair so fast that the hair started snagging and it got so rough and tough it was like brushing and blow drying straw or hay. So it was a bit annoying and a little painful plus I had to do more passes than I wanted to. But overall good product and the smell it’s just… well it took away that blower flat iron smell and that’s major! ... show more

This is a wonderful product. The sprayer evenly distributes the product, and it just works. It helps get rid of the frizz and really makes my hair shinny and look like I stepped out of the salon. I use this with Redken Frizz Dismiss and Biolage Smooth Proof (and a normal non-sulfate shampoo). Now, I will note, I've used other heat protectant sprays with the same products instead of this OGX spray, and the results were not the same, so I know this does it's job. Ugh. This product is way too heavy. Sprayed it on after a fresh wash and it made my hair greasy and weighed down (like I’d never washed it to begin with.) The scent is unremarkable, the quality of the formula is sub-par. My hair is coated in product without shine or any manageability-in fact it’s amazing to me that my hair still looks frizzy on the ends whilst the length of is so oily. My hair is on the wavy side with low porosity, used a blowout brush to style it after applying this product. My hair feels so gross and sticky I will have to rewash it.
