Needed to replace a previous mat which was cracked from my roller chair. This one was affordable so I took the chance on it. It is softer than I expected which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm a bigger guy so I worry about harder mats cracking on me like my previous one; this one seems less likely. Upon receiving the mat, I opened it up and it rolled out pretty easily and flat onto my carpet. A few weeks of using I don't have many complaints and think its worth the money. Please be advised, this mat is not for hardwood floors! It is for carpeted floors because it has "little teeth" on the bottom to hold it in place. As soon as I got it in and stretched out on the floor, my apartment complex decided to proceed with the renovation and took up the carpet!!! Now I have to get a new mat that is suitable for laminate floors. It's all good though, I just put it in storage. It was delivered rolled up, which I thought would be a problem, but it actually wasn't. I put my desk on one side to hold it down, and it didn't take long at all to stretch it out. ... show more

These protectors arrive rolled up for shipping convenience and trying to unroll them is an issue. The Plastic wants to keep a curl and to be effective they need to be flat -- that will not happen by just unrolling them and hoping the material will relax -- some kind of heat is needed. I would not recommend them for hardwood but only for carpet areas because the underside has pegs to help keep the matt stable so they won't move when you roll around on them with a chair. I know they are going to work out but I wish that material wasn't so difficult to make it lay flat without applying heat. ... show more

I use this for under my computer desk and I've used it for both castor wheel and roller blade wheel chairs. It performs well under both wheels with a preference on castor wheels. The blade wheels dig in through the carpet too much and make it very difficult to move the chair around, but that's only because the roller blade wheels have a much smaller surface area compared to the castor wheels. Has been working strong for a few months now and is still pliable. Does not crack like cheap ones do. Great quality. Would buy again. ... show more

Good quality, except it's a little thin for any carpeting that has much pile. The chair kinda sinks in, makes a dent in the mat, and makes it a bit hard to roll. But I'm sure it would be fine on a commercial type or short nap type carpet.
