This is a pretty awesome device. I had no idea this was so easy and affordable to do at home. We’ve been making stapled, comb and spiral books for some of my work place publications (20-60 copies usually)… this opens up a whole new world of possibility. To test we began with a stack of kids drawings that my friend had saved and we used one of the included 1/8” (30 page) portfolio covers that come with the glue already as a part of the cover. Plugged it in, turned it on, stuck it in the clamp part against the heating element, waited the 60 second countdown, put it on the fan section for a couple minutes - and voila the most adorable and neat book of kid drawing that you ever did see (my friend now wants one of these for herself). I also ordered some 1/8” 1mm thermal glue strips and experimented with making our own spines. There was definitely a little more trial and error for that (I found the thicker card stock spine probably could have used a little extra time on the heater). We were also sure to cut the glue strip a little shorter than the spine so it did not melt onto the device. One of my pictures is messy because we pulled one apart and remade it, but you can see how the glue sort of runs as it melts between the sheets (as it’s supposed to). We also made one with watercolor paper sheets - it held well. I could lay it flat and the page still stayed in, but it did rip out pretty cleanly with a good tug after that (I wonder if going a little longer so the glue seeps in more would have helped). Some things I was less excited about it - for the fan area when making smaller things, I worried about things not laying flat while they cooled - I would love another clamp for that section (we used a metal ruler and two large clips to make a makeshift one). It also had some fairly strong fumes when first turning it on - I thought it was the glue but I think it had more to do with being a new device as I didn’t notice it as much later (but we did put it by an open window after the first one). Overall, I’m so excited to own this. It’s easy to use out of the box with the provided materials, and I think with a little more simple trial and error there will be even more it can do!

The media could not be loaded. I got this thermal binding machine for making booklets and journals. It was basically ready to go right out of the box, I just had to insert the 3 panels on the top. Operating it was just as easy, I just inserted the filled binding cover and the machine started automatically. The 3 panels are all the same size and shape making it really easy to clip in place and take out for storage purposes. The included operating instructions were a great help since it also includes timer settings for different sized projects. The handle to pull the binding clamp opens easily and slides smoothly. It seems to provide just enough support to keep the binder cover and paper in place while it melts the glue. Overall, this is a pretty simple and easy to use machine, just make sure the pages are all lined up before inserting into the machine. It is melting glue so there is a slight smell while it's on. The cooling area is big enough to set multiple booklets which is really convenient when I'm making multiple smaller booklets at one time. It's lightweight but feels well made and stable.

This is very cost saving and providing quality performance thermal binding machine for home and office use. I was doubtful before purchase about its performance and outcome but I was so surprised by quick and excellent binding quality from it.This machine does not need pre heating time like others and ready to use instantly after plugin. It also comes with starter kit of 20 binding envelopes and ready to use after getting it.It can bind various paper sizes and upto 500 pages with proper binding envelopes as envelopes have binding capacity upto certain pages. It is super easy to use and giving excellent result everytime.
