I guess it's what you get in this price range. It does the job, but it's lightweight and can only do literally 3 or 4 sheets at a time--and even that is a workout for this wobbly thing. If you are going to use it alot, just get a better one from the start. I find myself not using it even when I would prefer to bind something because it's more laborious than it should be. Currently looking for a more solid machine.

I ordered this binding machine for printed at home school related curriculum. I have never used a binding machine before so it was a new experience. The machine is heavier than it looks. It takes up a bit of space, even though the arm can be removed for storage. I didn't have any problem punching holes in the recommended page range, so it certainly had the amount of power advertised. The next part was a bit annoying, and that was trying to stretch the tiny binders it came with down over the completed punched pages. But I honestly feel that this was due to the small size of the included binders. I believe my document was around 30-40 pages, but the product states it can accommodate over 400 or so. I wish there had been an assortment of sizes included so I could fully test out the ease of binding with larger plastic page binders. This is not a reflection of the quality of the product, it just means for larger documents you will need to purchase bigger binders. It was easy to get setup and use. It did the job as intended. The price seems reasonable. The actual releasing the binders into the little hole punches was challenging, but that could've been because the binding tabs were short for small documents.

It has become increasingly difficult and expensive to find local shops that offer affordable binding services. For my parent trainings and workshops, I prefer providing a physical manual rather than just a digital file or a bulky three-ring binder. This machine is a straightforward, basic solution that allows me to create professional-looking materials at home. It feels much more solid to hand a bound manual to a participant, and this unit makes that process easy to manage on my own schedule since dedicated copy and binding centers are getting harder to find. Having this OFFNOVA machine has been a very useful addition to my workflow. It’s a basic, manual unit, but it handles letter-size paper consistently and the adjustable margins are a nice touch for keeping things aligned. If you’re "old school" and prefer the feel of a bound book over an electronic document, this is a reliable way to get that professional finish without the high cost of outsourcing.

This is a compact and lightweight paper binder, but it definitely doesn’t handle the 12 sheets it claims to punch at once very well. When I tested the full capacity, it sounded and felt like it was going to break. It seems to work much more comfortably with about 5 sheets at a time. The handle isn't very sturdy either, and you can definitely feel that when you attempt max capacity. I do like that you can adjust how far into the margin the holes are punched, that’s a helpful feature if you prefer your holes closer or further from the edge. The included spines are a bit too long for standard sized paper, so they need to be trimmed down. It also comes with a cardboard strip you're supposed to punch repeatedly to clean out potential grease or dust. The idea is fine, but the cardboard isn’t perforated well, so tearing off each strip is messy and uneven. If you only need a binding machine for occasional projects, this one can get the job done. But for frequent or high volume binding, I don’t see it holding up long term.

This binding machine is a good value for the money, with the punch / binder and 100 3/8" black combs. I like that this is a comb binder rather than a spiral binder. The 3/8" comb held about 40 pages with thicker front and back covers, which was perfect for putting together the booklets I needed for church. This is a nice, compact, binding machine. It is not lightweight, being assembled mostly of steel. It is durably assembled and not something to drop on your toes! It is easy to punch 10 pages at a time, but I noticed that sometimes there was a little shift of the holes, which made for some imperfect alignment when assembling. But for what it is, it is fully functional. I am looking forward to putting together some calendars for our family using this binding machine. This will be a big time saver, and a lot more professional than using a slip cover or staples.
