These work as expected, surprisingly it is non slip and appears to be holding it's spot well and not getting wrinkled or displaced by the wheels on our chair. I expected it to be a bit more clingy than it is, it was a little more slidey on the floor than I expected when installing it, but does well in action. It came a bit wrinkled in the package and was folded into a square which surprised me because I thought it would be rolled up, which I think would've helped it keep it's shape better. ... show more

This is my first hard floor in a home office and I was very concerned about the chair wheels damaging the vinyl plank floor, after seeing what they did to the low-pile carpet it replaced. These mats work great, look good and appear to be exactly what's needed to protect any hard floor from hard chair wheels. There is a film on the bottom you need to peel off, that exposes a very soft rubber back that doesn't "stick" to the floor but is very good at keeping it from sliding. One caution and it's not enough to ding a star: The mat is very thin and the edges roll easily. Make sure it's far enough under the desk that your feet don't reach the far edge or it will start to roll up. I've only had them a couple of weeks so durability is unknown, but they're inexpensive and replacing these is far better than repairing the floor. Update March 2023: After less than a year the mat is shedding pieces every day. It's not up to every day use. ... show more

I have hard wood floor and it gets pretty cold in the winter time and I used to have plastic chair mat which also got very cold in the morning. So when my plastic mat got too old and too many cracks, I decided to try out this carpet chair mat for a change. it is a very decent carpet chair mat. thick & big enough and dense enough that it will last few years of hard use. And also, there is a clear plastic film on the bottom side of the mat. you need to peel this off, so that the mat can stick to the hard wood floor, so it wouldn't move around. since it is a simple carpet chair mat, I do not think that it will go wrong anytime soon, but after few weeks of use if something bad happens, I will update it here. thanks UPDATE : it has been few weeks that we have been using this mat. everything is fine and working out well. ... show more

I use this to protect my hardwood floors. My chair is not rolling but I suspect a rolling chair would work. It has been a year or so and the rug has not curled. It lays flat. I sometimes catches the inner edge when pulling out my chair that is a function of not having a rolling chair with my desk and in no way reflects a problem with the rug. This mat fell apart in weeks with relatively minimal use beneath a chair with standard plastic rolling wheels. It slides around frequently, has retained nearly every single crease from being folded for shipping, and I’ve already had to replace it (with a much better plastic mat at a similar price point I might add). This chair pad works really well on a solid surface floor ( we have vinyl plank flooring from a big box store). Opted not to use the adhesive backing and it works fine without it. No slippage and more comfy on bare feet than plastic pads.
