If you Have a chair from Ikea, they may not work out of the box, but this is where you stop by home depot or just add an 7/16th drill bit to your cart, then Once you drill out the standard Ikea holes on the bottom of your chair, these slip right in, no other mods necessary. If your chair has larger holes for casters on the bottom... then you are kinda SOL. you can always go up in size, you can never go back down (easily). Once i got them on my chair, they glided smoothly over the fake hardwood to the stairs from the back yard. then after picking the chair up, and carrying it back up the stairs, putting it back down and rolling it back into my room, they rolled perfectly over the carpet. I was not sold on these wheels, at all. I simply bought them because I was desperate to add some height to my chair for ergonomic reasons, and the extra 3/4” height this set provided over my old ones was enough to make me purchase. that said, you will now have to pry these from my cold dead hands. They are SILENT and glide like a dream. They do add height, you wouldn’t think less than an inch would be noticeable but it absolutely is for ergonomics purposes. If you have slanty floors, you will find that your chair silently and creepily gravitate towards the lowest point in the room, sometimes sneaking up on your. Up to this point3/19-9/22, these are like butter! so smooth and clean and great on carpet or hardwood, i use em all over the house, and this set is in the garage. So with fairly abusive use over the course of 3 years+ the bearings are now starting to pop out and the twist is locking up. the wheels are still perfect, not sure what the lifetime or not on this are, but they are worth it and i did buy again. I would think that a lighter person in a more consistently smooth floor space could get 3+more years out of one set. WAY! better than plastic casters. ... show more

These Office Oasis Rollerblade Chair Wheels are fantastic. I bought my first pair for my chair at the office back in 2017. Still have them on the same chair and they're doing fine. Just recently bought a new chair for my home office and immediately came to order my new wheels. In fact, I had the wheels waiting in my Amazon cart long before I decided on a chair. Wish I had known Office Oasis now sells their own brand of office chair with the rollerblade wheels already included. I probably would have bought it instead of the chair I ended up getting.     • Beware, I believe they broke my chair
I bought these wheels because at my new apartment the carpet was a bit softer making it harder to move my chair around on its regular casters. After only 3 weeks of having these wheels my chair is ruined and needs to be replaced. What happened is this, they -did- improve my ability to roll my chair on this carpet, however the force required to move around was not insignificant, and due to the higher profile of these wheels I believe the lateral force applied to the base of the chair where the wheels connect caused that joint to fracture. The original design with the shorter wheels did not see as much lateral force, so they were fine. These taller wheels have fractured this joint beyond repair and will necessitate a complete replacement of the chair. Mind you the chair I'm talking about wasn't the most expensive ($300 chair I bought about 4 years ago) so I'm not mad at the company making these wheels, I'm not seeking a refund. I'm just posting that although these will be fine wheels for some applications, they are built well and will do what they say they do, they *might* not be the best idea for your chair if the base is not designed for such lateral force as these will exert. ... show more

    • Incredibly smooth maneuvering
My home office chair came with cheap plastic twin wheel casters that often gut stuck. More often than rolling, they were simply dragging. I was already ordering the Office Oasis chair cylinder replacement, so I decided to get these too, I'm very happy with just how smooth and quiet these are.     • A product only exceeded by the level of customer service.
I originally had some really low quality casters for my office chair which ended up ruining my vinyl flooring. I had to replace the flooring myself. Then I saw these wheels on Amazon and couldn't wait to receive them after purchasing them. I noticed that each of the casters have a "C" washer outfitted on them. This washer is what keeps the wheels fastened into your chair. Upon receiving them in the mail, I was disappointed when I noticed that one of the five wheels did not have this washer included, which meant that the one wheel could not be installed. I promptly texted their customer support (as was noted in the included paperwork) and explained my situation. The very next day, I was contacted and was told that an additional set of caster wheels would be sent to me. In a scenario where I would have been perfectly content with a replacement washer, Oasis came through with some of the most timely and incredible customer support I've ever received (so much so, that I had to write this review). As for the wheels themselves, I couldn't have spent my money on better wheels. The bearings in the wheels and pivoting joints are smooth and the parts are of high quality.
