My first ice eater lasted 12 years before it skragged. My second ice eater (p500) lasted from Jan of 2022 to Dec 2025. Not great. Hopefully repairable. I'll send it back (at my expense) and they'll tell me if it is and how much. Can't let the dock freeze so I purchased a 3rd ice eater Dec 2025. If this one goes I'll be finding a competitors product. And to be clear. I change the zincs annually & new propeller as needed. I scrub it when I pull it in the spring and spray it down with WD40 for storage. I check its oil.

bought a unit Oct 2024, barely used that season, plugged in December 2025 and it blows the breaker. No recourse for return or repair that I can find on the website. Forcing us to avoid Ice Eater for another brand
