I used this funnel on my Lexus to purge air from the cooling system. It lets you creat a reservoir of coolant above the level of the radiator. Squeeze the top radiator hose many times while the car is running. You'll see bubbles come out. Coolant gets sucked back down. Bubbles out coolant in. Perfect. Also, Lexus has cooling a system where this funnel DOESN'T work in the stock arrangement. Suffice to say, I had to innovate. I installed an inline hose coolant fill device on the upper radiator hose. Find the correct hose size & device on Amazon or ebay. They are cheap. Critically mportant: (!!!) Realize that these inline hose devices use a "check valve" radiator cap. I had to silicone disable the check valve on the cap. (lift up the center round metal plug away from the rubber gasket. Put silicone under the plug so it glues to the rubber gasket. The disables the check valve feature in the cap while preserving the pressure pop off feature of the cap. This worked for me.) The hose adapter radiator cap size works with this funnel that I am reviewing, BUT a check valve cap will suck air into your system if you don't silicone it shut. A new bubble is guaranteed. Think through the whole cooling system! The funnel works good (mostly) but your car may need the extra mods itemized above. This ain't rocket science, but you gotta do it right or you will overheat. ... show more

If you are planning on draining and filling your radiator, this tool is essential. It will allow you to correctly bleed any air out of the system while avoiding any mess. The parts seem durable enough to last. Note: if you have a Honda (mine was an 03 Accord) you might have to use some pliers to slightly bend open the tabs on the metal cap. Otherwise the cap will not turn and hold properly. It’s a simple fix. After I did that I was able to fill my radiator and avoid any bubbles without causing any spills. Lots of YouTube videos available for how to do it properly. ... show more

Overall, this is a great product set at a great price. For my Toyota 4runner, it's flawed and it LEAKS at the join between the funnel and the radiator. Exactly what the product is supposed to eliminate. It's still worth using however due to the benefit of the "overfill" capability and being able to get all the air bubbles out while filling the system. Just put down some rags and towels where the drips happen and you'll be fine. It still performs it's duty. ... show more

Finally I was able to put this funnel to the test. I found it very helpful and must have when changing out the coolant system. I was able to finish my cooling system with minimal mess. The kit comes with various attachments of different sizes and configurations for different vehicle makes and models. A configuration should fit the opening of the radiator and will attached similar to the cap. The funnel is attached with or without additonal extension and the radiator can easily be filled. I'm very pleased owning this funnel kit after seeing how it worked. There is only a very minor spill once the fill is complete and detaching the funnel connection at the radiator opening. Make sure to have a pan underneath to catch the spill. Again that's very minor compare to the benefits. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking to do a coolant job. ... show more

The quality of this product is great. I was able to do a coolant flush and did my refill with this product without spilling a single drop. I was able to burp the system without any issues. It had the different attachments and different cap sizes to fit different cars. I would recommend this product.
