I bought this tool to remove the oil and fuel filters on my rv with a Cummins diesel. I was doing a DIY oil and filter change this time but previously the last people that serviced it overtightened the filters and oil drain plug so much that well, I can even describe it. Even the oil drain plug took an air impact wrench to remove. In particular the oil filter is between the engine block and the frame. There was no room to get a band type filter remover around it, The only way was to grip the filter from the very bottom and with a long socket extension this tool worked perfectly. Additionally the filter is about 5 ¼ diameter and this tool can remove filters up to 5 ½”. Not many on Amazon went that wide. The kit came with two filter removers, one for both smaller and larger filters. Very high quality, nice red paint, very hefty with a quality feel. I expected a cheap Harbor Freight, use it once and throw it away tool but what I got was a forever tool that’s right at home in my toolbox. Highly recommended and you can’t beat the price for such a quality tool. ... show more

    • Worked great, just what I needed.
I needed this for an oil change. I have a vehicle where I need something went over the filter. I do not have enough space for something that wraps around the filter due to space and angle issues. I bought this over several other similar style units because it had 2 options. One has rubber boots and round the other is all metal and the other has flat spots which I thought would dig in to the filter if the rubber footed one didn’t. The rubber footed one worked like a charm. I didn’t get to use the other filter. I do wish it had some spring loaded part of it to help grab the filter. ... show more

These adjustable oil filter wrenches are awesome, they make the older style completely obsolete. You'll never again need multiple oil filter wrench sizes for your truck or car because these cover the whole spectrum.
