Great product for the price and what it needs to do. Not a heavy metal casting, so I don't intend on putting a lot of pressure on the caps (and if you have to something else is wrong). Tools like this are needed with some of the modern cars, so good to have in your arsenal.

These are super lightweight and durable, at first when I picked one up it felt like a little plastic cheap socket but its solid and not plastic obviously they function great and fit every oil filter housing I've come across in a shop setting.

Why isn't there just one standard nut size for all cartridge type oil filters? The fact that I need to have a whole kit of different sized sockets just for the 2 cars I have that have cartridge filters is stupid. With that complaint out of the way, this kit is actually nice to have for those 2 cars though. Since the caps are always soft plastic and located at an odd angle on the engine it's easy to strip them using a crescent wrench, so a kit like this is just insurance well spent for the price. ... show more

Just one more item that my husband (a mechanic) asked for as a birthday gift (I use the term gift loosely) and I don't know what he uses it for. I'm assuming it's for oil changes. I perform oil changes every day on Hyundais which use 24 and 27mm cartridge filters so i bought this set. The sockets feel like plastic, very weak material, and they do not click onto my ratchet, they’ll just fall off. The first time I encountered a tight cartridge filter on a car I was working on, I had to use a lot of force to loosen the filter but apparently that was too much for the socket because it broke at the 3/8” drive hole. I will definitely be investing my money on a better set. ... show more

If you are looking for cheap oil filter sockets I would recommend paying 10 more dollars for the gear wrench they are more durable and have a lifetime warranty this set has all the sizes you need for oil filters and fuel filter caps since they are plastic you don’t need something that’s super strong since these sockets are made up of some light weight composite powder like material they work fine BUT if you have a tight fuel filter you WILL snap your socket had no problem with the oil filter size but when I used the bigger socket for a fuel filter it snapped ... show more
