FIrst one arrived with broken glass. Replacement was delivered the next day. I enjoy the memories of my old brass lantern. Candle light is less harsh than the LED. Plenty of light. Consider the tradeoff of weight, flexibility, and power source. Well worth a look.

This is a great alternative light source for emergencies or fun. If your electronics are soaked or you can't find the batteries this is a great go to. It's small, and came with a neoprene case so it's easy to pack for convenience.

Pros: smart design, with internal spring to keep candle pressed up to top, sliding glass shield, etc. Love the neoprene cocoon case. Seems adequate protection for the lamp when stowed in a pack, pocket. Casts enough light to see where you’re going in about a 12 foot radius. Cons: light shield clunky to use and store (I ended up using tin foil, which worked better for me); anything above a light wind will blow out the candle; mine leaked wax everywhere inside the metal housing and took quite a bit of effort to clean up. Not even sure how this happened, but disappointing for sure. Was thinking about buying more as gifts, but now have serious second thoughts. ... show more
