Maybe ok for the occasional backpacker, it's very light weight. However, this is extremely flimsy, it's actually put together with aluminum rivets. It might work if your campsite doesn't have a grill or any other way to cook. I would not try use anything more than charcoal coals to cook with, it probably wouldn't hold up to very much heat or use. I'll be sending mine back and look for something made better. ... show more
