These 12x50 binoculars are consistent with the top quality products produced by Occer. These are excellent for bird watching or for getting that close up view of an animal in the wild during a park visit or perhaps in your own backyard. They are sturdy and solid in your hands. It is easy to bring into focus the object to view, and the clarity of the magnification is incredible; blades/seeds of grass can be identified at around 30-40 yards. So far this has been another excellent product from the fine folks at Occer. The glass quality is not as high as what you'd expect from a Vortex or Bushnell set of binoculars, but you cannot buy those name brands for such a low price point! Considering the price of these binoculars, every box is checked. There is a large field of vision, (low light leaves something to be desired) with a considerable zoom for the size of the binoculars. These are more zoomed in than my Vortex pair of 10x50. The zoom is not adjustable but has a strong eye and weak eye manual focus adjustments. This is a great entry pair of binoculars for a young bow hunter or outdoors person. They are lightweight but sturdy and easy on the budget and they are also holding up great so far. We have probably glassed over 12 different species of birds in our area already with these Occer binoculars. The comparable model from Vortex is over 4 times the price for a set of heavier binoculars, with similar glass qualities. If you are on the fence, get these - and get used to the adjustments - then graduate to the name brands once this is mastered! Excellent choice! ... show more

The Occer 12x50 binoculars have already proved useful for seal watching and seeing the seals up close and clear while staying on the boat far enough away to not scare them. Bird watching has been great and once dialed in (following the instructions that are provided with the binoculars) you can easily see at varying distances with clarity.
